المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى مساهمة الخصائص الشخصية وثقافة القيادة على الالتزام بالقواعد المرورية أثناء قيادة المركبات، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم إعداد استبانه تكونت من قسمين: الأول اشتمل على المعلومات الديموغرافية الخاصة بالسائقين أفراد عينة الدراسة، والقسم الثاني اشتمل على (31) فقرة موزعة على مجالين هما: مجال العلاقة بين خصائص الشخصية لدى السائقين والتزامهم بالقواعد المرورية وتكون من (14) فقرة، ومجال العلاقة بين ثقافة القيادة لدى السائقين والتزامهم بالقواعد المرورية وتكون من (17) فقرة، وزعت على (700) سائق من النوعين، وأظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة بين خصائص الشخصية لدى السائقين والتزامهم بالقواعد المرورية بدرجة متوسطة، وبين ثقافة القيادة لدى السائقين والتزامهم بالقواعد المرورية بدرجة متوسطة أيضاً، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة الالتزام بالقواعد المرورية تبعاً لمتغير الجنس لصالح الإناث، وتبعاً لمتغير العمر لصالح الفئة العمرية (أكثر من 46)، وتبعاً لمتغير الحالة الاجتماعية لصالح الفئة (متزوج)، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة الالتزام بالقواعد المرورية تبعاً لمتغير المستوى التعليمي لصالح المؤهل العلمي "إعدادي"، وتبعاً لمتغير دخل الأسرة وكانت الفروق لصالح الفئة (201 -300) دينار.

The aim of this research is to identify the contribution of personal characteristics and driving culture on the non-compliance with the rules while driving vehicles. To achieve the goal of the study the researcher designed a questionnaire consisted of two parts: the first consisted of demographic data of the study sample of drivers, and the second section consists of (31) item distributed over two areas: the relationship between personal characteristics of the drivers and their commitment to traffic rules which include (14) items, and the relationship between the driving culture of the drivers and their commitment to traffic rules which consist of (17) items. The questionnaire was disseminated to the (700) drivers of both genders (females and males). The results reveal a relationship between the personal properties factors of the drivers and their commitment to traffic rules in a moderately level, and the culture of driving of the drivers and their commitment to traffic rules in moderately level as well. The results also reveal that there are statistically significant differences in the degree of compliance with the rules of traffic depending on the sex variable in favor of females, and depending on the variable of age for age group more than 46, and depending on the variable of marital status for the category married and results show that there are statistically significant differences in the degree of compliance with the rules of traffic depending on the variable of level of education for the benefit of qualification "preparatory", and depending on the variable household income and the differences were in favor of 201-300 JD category.
