المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة دور المدرسة الابتدائية في تنمية وعي تلاميذها بمقومات التربية المرورية: دراسة ميدانية. واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. واقتصرت حدود الدراسة على مجموعة من المعلمين والتلاميذ وبعض المدارس الابتدائية بمحافظة أسيوط وتم تطبيقها بالعام الدراسي لسنة 2012/ 2013. واشتملت أدوات الدراسة على استبانة موجهة لمعلمي التعليم الابتدائي للتعرف على دورهم ودور المدرسة والمناهج والأنشطة المختلفة في تنمية وعي التلاميذ بمقومات التربية المرورية داخل المدرسة. واستبانة تضمنت مجموعة من المواقف موجهة إلى تلاميذ المدارس الابتدائية للتعرف على مدى إدراكهم للقيم والمبادئ العامة للتربية المرورية واستمارة تحليل محتوى لمناهج المرحلة الابتدائية بصفوفها الستة للكشف عن واقع التربية المرورية الموجودة في تلك المقررات.
وأشارت الدراسة في نتائجها إلى دور المدرسة الابتدائية في تدعيم مقومات التربية المرورية لدى التلاميذ. والتوصل إلى تصور مقترح لتفعيل دور المدرسة الابتدائية في تنمية وعي التلاميذ بمقومات التربية المرورية في ضوء الاستفادة من بعض التجارب العالمية المعاصرة. وشمل فلسفة التصور وأهميته وأهدافه وإجراءات وضمانات تنفيذ التصور المقترح. وأوصت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات منها تشكيل لجان من التربويين والخبراء المروريين تحدد وتصيغ الأهداف التعليمة للتربية المرورية وتقترح المقررات والبرامج والأنشطة المخططة لتلك الأهداف. ودعم وتوفير الوسائل والإمكانيات اللازمة لتنفيذ البرامج والأنشطة المرورية للمدرسة وخارجها أي البيئة المحيطة بها. وتوفير مقومات الأمن والسلامة المرورية في المدارس التي أنشئت بالفعل لدعم ومراعاة اختيار الأماكن الآمنة للمدارس تحت الإنشاء أو التخطيط.

The study aims to identify the role of the primary school in raising the awareness of its students through the elements of traffic education: a field study. The descriptive analytical approach is used. The study is limited to a group of teachers, pupils and some primary schools in Assiut; it is applied in the academic year 2012/2013. The study tools include a questionnaire aimed at primary education teachers to identify their role, the school role, the different curricula and the different activities that raise students' awareness of the elements of traffic education within the school. One of the research tools is a questionnaire which includes a set of attitudes aimed at primary school pupils to identify their awareness of the general values and principles of traffic education as well as a content analysis form for the six-stage primary curriculum to clarify the reality of the traffic education in these curriculums.
The study points to the role of the primary school in strengthening the components of traffic education for students considering a proposed vision to activate the role of the primary school in raising students' awareness of the elements of traffic education in the light of benefiting from some contemporary world experiences. The study includes the philosophy of perception, its importance, its objectives, procedures and guarantees for implementing the proposed vision. The study recommends a number of recommendations, including the formation of committees of educators and traffic experts to identify and formulate the educational goals of traffic education and propose the decisions, programs and activities planned for those goals. It is also recommended to support and provide the means and possibilities necessary to implement the programs and activities in the school and outside it; in addition to, providing security and traffic safety in schools which are already established to consider the choice of safe places for schools under construction or planning.
