|b This study aims at investigating the effect of the use of learning package and achievement in prior learning of basic information and concepts taught in Computer Assisted Instruction course in the attainment of the student of Educational Technology. \ The data was gathered using a sample of 35 students at the University of Bahrain. Pre and post-tests were administered to examine the level of achievement. \ The results showed statistically significant differences in favor of the use of the learning package, as well as prior level of achievement. \ Based on the results, it is strongly recommended that the learning package be used to teach the information and concepts which may not be adequately learnt if taught using traditional methods. It is also recommended that an adequate level of achievement be attained before proceeding to subsequent courses of study. \
