المستخلص: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the project approach in relation to developing some of the language skills of a sample of pre-school children. To conduct the study, the two researchers designed and applied a program related to the project approach, in addition to a test to measure some of the language skills of pre-school children, represented in the two skills of listening and speaking, in addition to those skills branching from those two. The study was conducted upon a sample of 13 students, fluctuating between 4-6 years of age, in the Nizwa governate of the Sultanate of Oman. The study relied upon the semi-experimental approach for a single experimental group. Among the most significant conclusions reached, was the effectiveness of the project approach in respect to developing the listening and speaking skills at an indicative level of 0.001, in addition to some of the skills branching from them both. Among those branch skills were deducing a thing from its heard characteristics, to express pictures with completely formed sentences, to relay a story after listening to it, which were upon indicative levels of 0.05. The study also affirmed the importance of the application of the program based upon the project approach and benefiting from for the education of pre-school and education children.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على فاعلية نهج المشروع في تنمية بعض المهارات اللغوية لدى عينة من أطفال ما قبل المدرسة، ولإجراء الدراسة قامت الباحثات بتصميم وتطبيق برنامج في نهج المشروع واختبار لقياس بعض المهارات اللغوية لأطفال ما قبل المدرسة، التي تتمثل في مهارتي الاستماع والتحدث والمهارات الفرعية لهما. وأجريت الدراسة على عينة قوامها 13 طفلا، راوحت أعمارهم بين 4: 6 سنوات، في محافظة نزوى بسلطنة عمان. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج شبه التجريبي لمجموعة تجريبية واحدة، ومن أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها فاعلية نهج المشروع في تنمية كل من مهارتي الاستماع والتحدث عند مستوى دلالة 0,001 ولبعض المهارات الفرعية لهما، ومنها الاستدلال على الشيء من خلال خصائصه المسموعة والتعبير عن الصور بجمل مفيدة، وإعادة سرد قصة بعد سماعها عند مستويات دلالة أقل من 0,05، وأكدت الدراسة أهمية تطبيق البرامج القائمة على نهج المشروع والاستفادة منها في تربية أطفال ما قبل المدرسة وتعليمهم.
