It is religion what determines morals, and hence religion in mesopotomia was very strict in relation to bad manners of disgraceful morals. The Gods consisted it a deviation from its authority and an insult to them and it is a sort of disobedience. The instructions of the Gods forbid lying of killing and deception, they suggest taking care of the week people besides taking care of the domestic affairs and the village, town. Sacrifices should be given as a sign of obedience together with pray and recite. That is why the Gods created demons, devils, and geniis, such creatures can be good and evil, to make it up to those people who are committed do their obligations and duties towards the Gods of people, and this would save their livings, health, peace, and happiness. As for those who fall short of their duties towards the Gods and people with their bad manners, the Gods' will make them under the control of the wicked devils of demons which will keep him anxious, and send to him diseases, agony, besides hardening his living, and soon and so forth. These devils and demons are made by the Gods in particular or they just souls of the dead who have been left unburied. So they are all created by the Gods, they fall into various types of hide in specific places, such as the comers, the sides of the house, and cemeteries, and ruins. |
