|a استهدفت هذه الدراسة الكشف عن المهارات الخاصة لطلبة المرحلة الأساسية العليا في الأردن بالتمثيلات الرياضية. وبالتحديد، وقد حاولت الدراسة الإجابة عن السؤالين الآتيين: ما درجة إتقان طلبة المرحلة الأساسية العليا للتعامل مع التمثيلات الرياضية؟ هل يختلف متوسط أداء طلبة المرحلة الأساسية العليا في الأردن في التعامل مع التمثيلات الرياضية باختلاف مستوياتهم الدراسية (الصف التاسع، الصف العاشر)، أو مستوياتهم التحصيلية (مرتفع، متوسط، متدن)؟ ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة أعدت أنشطة اختباريه خاصة تتضمن موقفا علميا يتطلب التعامل مع التمثيلات الرياضية لتمثيله والتعبير عنه، واستخدمت تلك التمثيلات في اشتقاق الادعاءات العلمية المدعومة بالبيانات. وجرى من صدق محتوى الأنشطة من خلال عرضه على لجنة محكمين، كما وجرى من مؤشرات ثباتها. بلغ مجموع أفراد الدراسة (571) طالبا بواقع (321) طالبا من طلبة الصف التاسع الأساسي و (250) طالبا من طلبة الصف العاشر من مديرية تربية البادية الشمالية الغربية للفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام الدراسي 2009/2008. ولتحليل بيانات الدراسة حسبت تكرارات أنماط التعامل مع التمثيلات الرياضية للمواقف العلمية، كما استخدم تحليل التباين الثنائي لاختبار فرضية الدراسة. وكشفت الدراسة عن تدني مهارات التعامل مع التمثيلات الرياضية للمواقف العلمية واستخدامها في بناء الاستنتاجات العلمية السليمة، كما كشفت الدراسة عن وجود أثر دال إحصائيا (α=0.05) لكل من صف الطالب، ومستواه المعرفي. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج أوصت الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات النوعية التي تدعم ترقية مهارات الطلبة في التعامل مع التمثيلات، والتعبيرات الرياضية، واستخدامها في بناء الاستنتاجات العلمية.

|f This study aims to uncover the individual skills of senior primary students in Jordan in Mathematical Representations. Specifically, the study tried to answer the following two questions: What is the level of proficiency of senior primary students in dealing with Mathematical representations? Does the average performance of senior primary students in Jordan vary in dealing with Mathematical representations according to their grade levels (Grade 9, Grade 10), or their achievement levels (Higher, Medium, and Lower)? In order to achieve the objectives of the study, special experimental activities have been prepared, including a scientific stand that requires dealing with Mathematical representations to represent and express it. These representations were used to derive scientific claims backed by data. The content of the activities was validated by presenting it to a panel of arbitrators. The indicators of their stability were also carried out. The total number of students is 571, 321 are of the ninth grade and 250 of the tenth-grade students of the Directorate of the north-western desert for the second semester of the 2008/2009 academic year. To analyze the data of the study, the frequency of the patterns of dealing with the Mathematical representations was calculated for scientific positions. Bilateral contrast analysis was also used to test the study hypothesis. The study revealed the low skills of scientific positions in dealing with mathematical representations of and their use in building sound scientific conclusions. The study also revealed a statistically significant effect (α = 0.05) for each grade of the student and his cognitive level. In light of these findings, the study recommended a set of specific recommendations that support the upgrading of students' skills in dealing with Mathematical representations and expressions, and their use in building scientific conclusions.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc 2018.
