هدف البحث إلى تعرف فاعلية برنامج تقني قائم على تنويع التدريس بالوسائط المتعددة والرحلات الاستكشافية في تنمية مهارات الاستقصاء الجغرافي والحس المكاني لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الإعدادي، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم إعداد قائمة بمهارات الاستقصاء الجغرافي التي يمكن تنميتها من خلال البرنامج، وإعداد البرنامج التقني القائم على تنويع تدريس (وحدة الأخطار الطبيعية) بالوسائط المتعددة والرحلات الاستكشافية بمقرر الجغرافيا للصف الأول الإعدادي، وللتحقق من فاعلية البرنامج تم إعداد أداتي البحث والتي تمثلت في اختبار مهارات الاستقصاء الجغرافي، ومقياس الحس المكاني تم تطبيقهما قبلياً وبعدياً على عينة البحث التي تمثلت في مجموعة من تلاميذ الصف الأول الإعدادي بمدرسة سعد زغلول الإعدادية المتكاملة تم تقسيمهما إلى مجموعتين إحداهما تجريبية (25) تلميذاً تدرس الوحدة من خلال البرنامج التقني، والأخرى ضابطة (25) تلميذاً تدرس الوحدة كما هي بالطرق التقليدية، وقد أسفرت نتائج التطبيق القبلي والبعدي لأداتي البحث وتنفيذ البرنامج عن فاعلية البرنامج التقني في تنمية مهارات الاستقصاء الجغرافي والحس المكاني لدى تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية مقارنة بتلاميذ المجموعة الضابطة
