يشهد العصر الذي نعيش فيه زيادة إدراك متطلبات التغيير والتطوير ومواكبة كل المستجدات الحضارية مما أدى إلى اهتمام كبير في عمليات إصلاح التعليم في معظم دول العالم ونالت الجودة الشاملة اهتمام منقطع النظير إلى الحد الذي جعل المفكرين يطلقون عليه عصر الجودة باعتبارها إحدى الركائز الأساسية لنموذج الإدارة الحديثة لمواكبة التطورات الدولية والمحلية لتحقيق الهدف الرئيسي التي تسعى إليه جميع مؤسسات التعليم العالي، وجاءت هذه الدراسة لمعرفة مدى اهتمام وتطبيق المؤسسات التعليمية لإدارة الجودة الشاملة ومبادئها لإنتاج مخرجات تعليمية عالية المستوى تحقق الأهداف والميزة التنافسية لهذه المؤسسات تقوم على التطوير والتحسين المستمر للعملية التعليمية من خلال القائمين والعاملين بها على حد سواء وحيث أن جامعة الطائف أحد هذه المؤسسات التعليمية الحديثة في المملكة العربية السعودية والتي تبنت مبادئ الجودة الشاملة كهدف تسعى إلى تحقيقه من بداية إنشاءها للحصول على مخرجات تعليمية تنافس السوق المحلي والعربي والعالمي فقد هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى قياس أثر إدارة الجودة الشاملة على كفاءة الأداء الأكاديمي في المملكة العربية السعودية (دراسة تطبيقية على جامعة الطائف)، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف سيقوم الباحثتان بتصميم استبانه، وتوزيعها على مجتمع الدراسة أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الطائف، وقد توصل البحث إلى العديد من النتائج والتوصيات منها: تنمية الأنماط القيادية لضمان الجودة الشاملة بالتعليم الجامعي، مع ضرورة تصميم نموذجين كراسة لفئة المعيدات والمحاضرات وكراسة لعضو هيئة التدريس درجة (دكتور- أستاذ)، وإعادة النظر في توزيع الدرجات بكراسة المعيدات والمحاضرات على أن تكون درجة الأبحاث العلمية تحدد لها درجة صغيرة وتحصل الأنشطة التدريسية وخدمة لمجتمع على الدرجات أعلى.

Came this study to see how interesting and application of educational institutions to TQM principles to produce outputs of high educational level achieved the objectives and the competitive advantage of these institutions is based on the continuous development and improvement of the educational process through existing and employees alike as the Taif University one of these educational institutions in modern Kingdom Saudi Arabia, which has adopted the principles of total quality as a goal sought to be achieved from the beginning of its establishment for learning outcomes compete with the local market and the Arab world has This study aimed to measure the impact of TQM on the efficiency of academic performance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (An Empirical Study on the Taif University), and to achieve This objective researchers will design a questionnaire, distributed to the population of the study valuable faculty Taif University, The research has come to many of the findings and recommendations, including: the development of leadership styles to ensure the overall quality of university education, with the need to design models brochure for a class repeaters, lectures and a brochure for a faculty member degree (Doctor - Professor), and revisit the distribution of grades brochure repeaters and lectures to be a degree scientific research identifies a small degree and get the highest grades for activities of teaching and service to the community.
