المستخلص: إن وضعية الحرفيين داخل غالبية المجموعات القبلية تطرح إشكاليات محيرة؛ لأن هذا الحرفي الذي يمارس أعمالا لا غنى عنها نجده مهمشا ومحتقرا، وبما أن هذا الشخص يمتلك إمكانيات مهمة)تقنية، سحرية، لغوية...( فهو يحظى في الوقت نفسه بالاحتقار والاحترام، وهذا ما نسميه بعقدة الحداد التي تمثل كتلة من الأمور المتناقضة والمبهمة.
وتشير العديد من الكتابات التي تناولت بالدراسة والتحليل بعض مجتمعات إفريقيا الغربية، إلى تواجد مجموعات مغلقة groupes endogamies داخل هذه الأخيرة، تحمل بعض خصائص نظام الطوائف الهندي Système de Castes؛ومن بين هذه المجتمعات نجد المجتمع البيضاني/الحساني الذي يضم عدة فئات من بينها فئة "لمعلمين" تحمل بعض الخصائص البنيوية لهذا النظام. لكن وعلى الرغم من الكم المعرفي الهام الذي تمت مراكمته حول بنية مجتمع البيضان société Maure والخصائص الاجتماعية والثقافية والسياسية والاقتصادية التي تسمه، فإن فهمنا لهذه لفئة لا يزال على قدر جد متواضع. ولهذا تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى مناقشة بعض القضايا الاشكالية المرتبطة بحرفيي البيضان، والمتصلة بالإشكاليات التي تطرحها تسميتهم وكذا تصنيفهم.


The status of the craftsmen within the majority of the tribal groups poses intriguing problems because this craftsman who practices indispensable works is marginalized and despised, and since this person possesses important potentials (technical, magical, linguistic), he is contemptuous and at the same time respected, and this is what we call the mourning complex that represents a group of contradictory and ambiguous things.
Several writings on the study and analysis of some West African communities indicate the existence of endogamous groups within the latter, which carry certain characteristics of the Indian castes system, among these communities is the Al-Baydani/Al-Hassani community, which consists of several categories, including "teachers" category, which carry some structural characteristics of this system, but despite the considerable amount of knowledge accumulated about the structure of the Al-Baydan community (société maure) and its social, cultural, political and economic characteristics, our understanding of this category is still very modest.
Therefore, this study seeks to discuss some of the problematic issues related to the craftsmen of Al-Baydan and the problems of their identification as well as their classification.
