This research aims at identifying psychological stresses among the parents of the mentally disabled and their relation to some demographic variables gender, educational level, economic level, number of children in the family, birth order of the child.) The present study also seekes to determine what psychological stress that caused among parents as a result of the presence of a child suffering from mental disability. The present study also aimed to identify the relation between each of the psychological stress with some variables concerning parents represented by gender, chronological age, educational level and the economical level; or concerning the child represented by the number of children in the family, and the child order among his siblings To achieve this goal the researcher used the descriptive method The (population was the parents of the mentally disabled ) in the special education centers in Khartoum state And the sample size was (64) subjects (24) males and (23) females taken by the simple random sampling,Thesige of the sample was researcher used the psychological stress measure for the mentally disabled parents, the validity of the scale has been verified in its original form using factor analysis, and internal consistency, The resalty of the study wer reliability of the scale was verified by the lvakronbach equation.In addition to that the validity of the scale in the current study was verified by calculating the correlation coefficient between the scores of the dimensions and the total score of the scale. The stability of the measure was checked by Alvakronbach and it was found to be high, and treatment was done through the program spss) these include T test and the arithmetic mean and standard deviation and test and this study found the following resultsthe psychological stresses among the parents of the mentally disabled are high2- there are no significant differences in psychological stresses among the parents of the mentally disabled due to gender. due to age due to graduate and post-graduate levels of ducation due to economic level variable in favor of high economical level. due to child birth rderAnd in the end the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestions, the most important of which is to provide programs to reduce the level of stress among the parents of the mentally disabled children.
هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة مستوى الضغوط النفسية لأولياء أمور الأطفال المعاقين ذهنيا وعلاقتها ببعض المتغيرات الديمغرافية ( النوع، العمر ,المستوى التعليمي، و الإقتصادي، عدد الأطفال في الأسرة، ترتيبه بين إخوته). وتهدف هذه الدراسة أيضاً إلى تحديد مايمكن أن يحدثه وجود طفل يعاني من إعاقة ذهنية من ضغوط نفسية لدى والديه. وتهدف الدراسة كذلك إلى التعرف على علاقة كل من الضغوط النفسية وعلاقتها ببعض المتغيرات الخاصة بأولياء الأمور المتمثلة بالجنس، والعمر الزمني، ومستوى التعليم، والمستوى الاقتصادي، أو الخاصة بالأطفال والمتمثلة بعدد الأطفال في الأسرة، وترتيب الطفل بين إخوته. ولتحقيق من هذا الهدف استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي, ويتمثل مجتمع الدراسة (أولياء أمور المعاقين ذهنيا ) بمراكز التربية الخاصة بولاية الخرطوم وبلغ حجم العينة (64) فرد (32) آباء (32) أمهات تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة وقامت بإستخدام مقياس الضغوط النفسية لأولياء أمور المعاقين ذهنياً وهو من إعداد وتقنين كل من زيدان السرطاوي وعبد العزيز الشخص(1998م).وبالإضافة إلى ذلك تم التحقق من صدق المقياس في الدراسة الحالية بحساب معاملات الإرتباط بين الأبعاد وبين الدرجة الكلية للمقياس ، وتم التحقق من ثبات المقياس بطريقة الفاكرونباخ وكانت دالة مرتفعة و تمت المعالجة من خلال برنامج spss) )شملت إختبار (ت) الوسط الحسابي والانحراف المعياري واختبار (ف) وتوصلت هذه الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: تتسم مستوى الضغوط النفسية لأولياء أمور المعاقين ذهنياً بالإرتفاع. لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة في الضغوط النفسية وسط أولياء أمور المعاقين ذهنياً تعزى لمتغير النوع.- العمر. -المستوى التعليمي - المستوى الاقتصادي- ترتيب الطفل. - عدد الاطفال في الاسرة.) وفي خاتمة الدراسة قدمت الباحثة بعض التوصيات والمقترحات.أهمها تقديم برامج إرشادية لأولياء أمور المعاقين ذهنياً لتخفيف الضغوط النفسية لديهم.
