هذا موضوع يعالج ظـاهرة المـشترك اللفظـي فـي القـرآن الكـريم. والمـشترك اللفظـي مـن الظـواهر اللغويـة التي تشيع في كثير من ألفاظ اللغة مثال ذلك (النـوي): الـدار، والنـوي النيـة، والنـوي البعـد. كمـا نجـد لها أمثلة عديدة في القرآن الكريم من ذلك (الأسفار): التي تعني، المنازل والقري كمـا فـي قولـه تعـالي (رَبنَا بَاعِدْ بَيْنَنا وَبَينَ أَسْفَارِنَا) (١٩ – سبأ)، وتعني: الكتب، كما في قوله تعالي (كَمَثَـلِ الْحِمَـارِ يَحْمِـلُ أَسْفَارا) (٥-الجمعـة). وهـو مـن الموضـوعات التـي اهـتم بهـا القـدماء وعرضـوا بين فـي مؤلفـاتهم التـي حملت عناوين الأشباه والنظائر أو الوجوه والنظائر. وتتجلي أهمية دراسة المشترك اللفظي في القرآن الكريم في كونها وثيقة الصلة بقضية الدلالة في الكتاب العزيز وما لها من أثر في تفسيره وفهمه. وقد اهتم السلف الصالح بالقرآن الكريم وتأويله اهتماما يليق بمكانته ومنزلته، وهو مـا توارثـه مَـنْ أتـي بعدهم فجدوا واجتهـدوا فـي ذلـك مـا وسـعهم الجـد والاجتهـاد. وهـو مـا نجـد الإشـارة إليـه فيمـا ذهـب إليـه صاحب المقدمة في قوله: "أمـا التفـسير فـاعلم أن القـرآن نـزل بلغـة العـرب، وعلـي أسـاليب بلاغـتهم، فكانوا كلهم يفهمونه، ويعلمون معانيه في مفرداتـه وتراكيبه، وكـان ينـزل جُمَـلا جُمَـلا، وآيـات آيـاتٍ، لبيان التوحيد والفـروض الدينيـة بحـسب الواقـع، ومنهـا مـا هـو فـي العقائـد الإيمانيـة ومنهـا مـا هـو فـي أحكام الجوارح، ومنها ما يتقدم ومنها ما يتأخر ويكون ناسـخًا لـه. وكـان النبـي صـلي الله عليـه وسـلم يبين المجمل ويميز الناسخ من المنسوخ ويعرفه أصحابه فعرفوه، وعرفـوا سـبب نـزول الآيـات ومقتـضي الحال منها منقولا عنه، كما علم من قوله تعـالي (إذَا جَـاء نَـصْرُ اللـهِ وَالْفَـتْحُ)، أنهـا نعـي النبـي صـلي الله عليه وسلم، وأمثال ذلك.
