This article aims at revealing the importance of the quality management in sustaining excellence and competitiveness in the business environment. It pointed out that the Total Quality Management (TQM) is the third revolutionary wave after the Industrial Revolution and the information revolution. The application of this type of management is one of the means to achieve the quality of the total system in the organization or institution, and the competition and challenge to prove its existence, especially that the literature and the contemporary administrative studies stressed the great importance of the application of the philosophy of total quality management. The article also explained that one of the most important features of the contemporary organization is its assimilation and dedication to the concept of total and comprehensive quality. As the attention to the quality is no longer limited to taking care of the manufacture of goods and confirmation of their validity to use and conformity with the standards, but rather to become a comprehensive concept of quality in all stages of work and all levels of performance in any project or company. The article was based on the following objectives to achieve the overall quality in the companies: reduce costs and reduce the time required to complete the tasks for the customer and achieve quality. It also addressed some tools that may contribute to the achievement of the overall quality, including: Brain Storming, Process Flowcharts, Cause and Effect Diagram, Pareto Chart, Time Chart or Run Chart, Process Control Chart, and Affinity Diagram. The results affirmed that any human action does not rise to the absolute perfection, human actions, whether individual or collective, may be deficient. The pursuit of a high level of workmanship is a strategic objective in any area. The article also recommended the need to think and participate seriously in the process of management and organization of work, and strive to achieve a high degree of perfection to achieve the overall quality and excellence and competitiveness of the institution.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
هدف المقال الحالي إلى الكشف عن أهمية إدارة الجودة في استدامة التميز والتنافسية في بيئة الأعمال. حيث أشار إلى ان إدارة الجودة الشاملة تعد الموجة الثورية الثالثة بعد الثورة الصناعية والثورة المعلوماتية، حيث أن تطبيق هذا النمط من الإدارة يمثل إحدى الوسائل التي تمكن من تحقيق جودة النظام الكلي في المنظمة أو المؤسسة، والتنافس والتحدي لإثبات وجودها، ولا سيما أن الأدبيات والدراسات الإدارية المعاصرة أكدت الأهمية الفائقة لتطبيق فلسفة إدارة الجودة الشاملة، كما أوضح ان من اهم سمات المنظمة المعاصرة استيعابها وتكريسها لمفهوم الجودة الكلية والشاملة. حيث أن الاهتمام بالجودة لم يعد مقصورا على العناية بصنع السلع والتأكيد من صلاحيتها للاستخدام ومطابقتها للمواصفات، وإنما تعداه ليصبح مفهوما شاملا للجودة في كل مراحل العمل وكل مستويات الأداء في أي مشروع أو شركة. واستند المقال على الأهداف التالية لتحقيق الجودة الشاملة في الشركات هي خفض التكاليف وتقليل الوقت اللازم لإنجاز المهمات للعميل وتحقيق الجودة. كما تناول بعض الأدوات التي قد تسهم في تحقيق الجودة الشاملة منها العصف الذهني وخرائط تدفق العمليات ومخطط النتيجة والأسباب ومنحي باريتو والمنحى الزمني ومنحني مراقبة العملية ومخطط التصنيف أو التجميع. جاءت النتائج مؤكدة على ان أي عمل بشري لا يرقي إلى درجة الكمال المطلق، فأعمال البشر سواء كانت فردية أو جماعية قد يعتريها النقص والخلل. وان السعي للوصول إلى درجة عالية من الإتقان في العمل هدف استراتيجي في أي مجال من المجالات. كما أوصي بضرورة التفكير والمشاركة الجدية في عملية الإدارة وتنظيم العمل، والسعي للوصول إلى درجة عالية من الإتقان لتحقيق الجودة الشاملة وصولا إلي التميز والتنافسية للمؤسسة. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
