هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف إلى الاحتياجات التدريبية، في مجال البحث العلمي، لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الاستقلال في فلسطين. كما هدفت إلى التعرف إلى دور بعض المتغيرات المتعلقة بأعضاء هيئة التدريس، كالمؤهل العلمي، والتخصص، وسنوات الخبرة، وعدد الأبحاث في الاحتياجات التدريبية في مجال البحث العلمي لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في تلك الجامعة، ومن أجل تحقيق ذلك استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي، حيث اختيرت عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعة، بلغ عددها (53) عضواً، وزعت عليهم استبانة مؤلفة من (45) فقرة، موزعة على سبعة مجالات، أشارت النتائج إلى أن الاحتياجات التدريبية، في مجال البحث العلمي، لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعة كانت متوسطة، كما تبين أن هناك فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى مجالات الدراسة، والدرجة الكلية، كما أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى متغيرات الجنس، والمؤهل العلمي، وسنوات الخبرة، وعدد الأبحاث المنشورة. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحثين بضرورة إعداد برنامج تدريبي لأعضاء هيئة التدريس يهدف إلى تطوير مهاراتهم في التحليل الإحصائي للبيانات المتعلقة في البحوث، وذلك باستخدام البرنامج الإحصائي للعلوم الاجتماعية SPSS. وإجراء المزيد من الدراسات حول الاحتياجات التدريبية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الاستقلال، وذلك في مختلف المجالات الأكاديمية.
This study aimed at identifying the training needs in the field of scientific research for faculty members at Al-Istiqlal University in Palestine. This study aimed also at investigating the role of some variables related to faculty members such as qualification, specialization, experience, and the number of published research papers, the work level of the institution in the field of scientific research at Al-Istiqlal University. To achieve these purposes, the researchers used the descriptive method and the sample consisted of (53) of the faculty members at Al-Istiqlal University and responded to a questionnaire consisting of (45) items. Results indicated that the training needs for the faculty members at Al-Istiqlal University were intermediate. In addition, results indicated that there were significant differences in the training needs in the field of scientific research at Al-Istiqlal University due to study variables. Moreover, results indicated that there were no significant differences due to some variables including gender, qualification, years of experience, and number of published research papers. Significant differences were also found in the training needs in the field of scientific research for faculty members at Al-Istiqlal University due to the faculty in favor of the faculty of humanities and security. Regarding the results, the researchers recommended the necessity of preparing a training program for the faculty members aiming at improving their skills in analyzing data for researches using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), and recommended further research work on the training needs in the field of scientific research for faculty members at Al-Istiqlal University for different academic fields.
