الفصل الأول: (التعريف بالبحث وموضوعه). وقد اشتمل هذا الفصل خلفية المشكلة، ومشكلة البحث، والأهداف والفروض، وأهمية البحث وحدوده، ومنهج البحث بشقيه النظري والتطبيقي، ومصطلحات البحث والدراسات المرتبطة. الفصل الثاني (تاريخ الحضارة الآشورية). وقد تضمن هذا الفصل نبذة تاريخية عن الآشوريين وعهودهم الثلاث، مع رصد للفنون الآشورية في العمارة والنحت بأنواعه وجمال الألواح الحجرية لما فيها من رسوم جدارية كذلك البروزيات والعاجيات والأختام الأشورية وسمات وخصائص الفن الأشوري، مع ذكر العناصر الفنية والأسس الفنية في التصميم، حيث شمل هذا الفصل الأشكال الآشورية لما تمتلكه من دلالات في فنون بلاد ما بين النهرين، من ناحية تعريف الأشكال كمصطلح في الفن العراقي القديم، مع رصد الفنون الآشورية بشكل عام والأشكال المتعلقة بالدراسة الحالية بشكل خاص. الفصل الثالث: (الاتجاهات الفنية والثقافية وأثرها على تصميم الشعار). وقد تناول هذا الفصل دور النسق الثقافي في تصم الشعار، ومفهوم ثقافة الصورة الذهنية بمكوناتها: الشخصية والمحيط الثقافي والعمليات الذهنية والانعكاس والمادية، والمدارس والاتجاهات الفنية، ومكونات تصميم الشعار (الشكل، اللون، الكتابة، الرمز، والخطة) وانتهى الفصل بالإشارة إلى التبان الثقافي تصميم الشعار. الفصل الرابع: (التحليل الفني والجمالي لمختارات من الشعار المعاصر) وقد اهتم هذا الفصل بتحديد مجموعة من المداخل التشكيلية والوظيفية والتجريدية والرمزية، على أساسها تتم عملية التحليل لمجموعة من الشعارات العراقية والمصرية كعينة للتحليل، من خلال معايير تتعرض لمفردات شعار وكيفية الصياغة التشكيلية وارتباطها بالوظيفة، والدلالة الرمزية التي يتضمنها كل شعار. الفصل الخامس: (التجربة العملية، تصميم الشعار باستخدام الكمبيوتر). وقد اشتمل هذا الفصل على تقديم وتعريف نظري، بإمكانيات الحاسوب "الكمبيوتر" في الفن التشكيلي، والعلاقة بين المصمم والكمبيوتر، ومميزات وخصائص التصميم بالكمبيوتر، حيث السهولة والدقة والسرعة، وأيضا القواعد العامة للتصميم بالكمبيوتر، مثل تحديد الهدف والتخطيط والمهارات الأساسية، كما أن من الضروري الإشارة إلى المكونات الأساسية لتلك العملية بما تتضمنه من أدوات وأجهزة الإدخال والإخراج والبرامج، ثم كان التطبيق العملي وقد سبقه تحديد أهداف التجربة وتحديد العينة، والأدوات ومراحل التجربة (التكوين، الكتابة، التلوين، إسقاط المؤثرات البصرية) واختتم الفصل بالتحليل الفني والجمالي لنتائج التجربة. الفصل السادس: (النتائج والتوصيات). وقد تضمن نتائج والتوصيات، وملاحق البحث، والمراجع والمصادر، وملخص البحث باللغة العربية، المستخلص، وكذا ملخص البحث باللغة الأجنبية ومستخلص باللغة الأجنبية.
