520 | |b Few can deny the role of teachers in building students‟ personalities and becoming their model in life. Most teachers would love to be regarded ideal ones by their students, however not many of them can achieve this goal. This study was conducted to determine what factors from students‟ perspective might be contributing to teachers‟ target of becoming an ideal one. Answering this question might not be so easy because students might not have the same view about their model or ideal teacher as well as teachers might have different understanding of the notion “ideal teacher”. Therefore, a questionnaire was deigned for this purpose. The participants were second and fourth Year students in English department/ College of Languages in Salahaddin University. The study investigates the students‟ opinion of the qualities of an ideal teacher through examining their answers to a set of questions made by the researchers. Furthermore, students wrote about their experience at home and at school which affected their opinions and personalities in class. | ||
