هدف البحث إلى التعرف على جهود الرماني (ت384ه) التداولية في كتابه (معاني الحروف). اشتمل البحث على ثلاثة مباحث رئيسة. المبحث الأول كشف عن ظواهر تداولية في كتاب " معاني الحروف" في الإفادة والغرض، وانطوى تحت مبدأ الإفادة: التعريف والتنكير والنفى والإثبات، وانطوى الغرض على الوظائف النحوية والتداولية لكل من قصدية المتكلم وتواصل المتلقى وانجازه. وجاء في المبحث الثانى التعرف على (أفعال الكلام) القوى الانجازية التي تكمن في داخل حروف المعانى وتتحول إلى أفعال كلام في سياق النص، مثل: العرض، والتحضيض، والتوبيخ والردع وغيرها. والمبحث الثالث تتبع (الحجاج النحوى) آليات الحجاج التواصلي وعملية الاستجابة لدى المتلقى أو المخاطب، وتناول أنواع الحجاج المتوافرة في (معاني الحروف) من حجاج تفسيري وحجاج استقرائي وحجاج استنتاجي. وتوصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج، ومنها: أن التداولية تنسجم مع النحو في تحقيق الإفادة من الخطاب وفى تحقيق التواصل الإبلاغى بين الباث والمتلقى. كما تبين أن مبدأ الإفادة يلتقي مع مراعاة الغرض في مقصدية الباث وحصول الفائدة لدى المتلقى بتحقيق العملية الإبلاغية للرسالة. كما أن الحجاج التفسيري اعتمد على كل الإجراءات التفسيرية من تعريف وتفكيك وشرح وتفصيل ووصف وترتيب ومقارنة. وأخيراً ظهرت القاعدة الشاذة أكثر ما ظهرت في الحجاج الاستنتاجي، إذ يذكر القاعدة العامة للأداة ويشرح ويفصل في كل الظواهر المتعلقة بها ثم يذكر القاعدة الفرعية أو الشواهد التي وردت فيها الأداة شاذة في موضعها، وبذلك حقق عملية الانتقال من العام إلى الخاص. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
