المستخلص: إن التطورات التقنية الهائلة التي يمر بها العالم اليوم أثرت على نمط حياتنا اليومي بصورة كبير (في رغباتنا واحتياجاتنا وأسلوب تفكيرنا وطريقة أدائنا لوظائفنا)، والمكتبات ومراكز المعلومات واحدة من المجالات التي تأثرت بصورة كبيرة بهذه التطورات التقنية حيث أصبحت أغلب العمليات التي تتم لإدارتها تتم بصورة تقنية عالية، مما غير بيئات العمل بالنسبة للمكتبين القدامى وحتى الجدد حيث حدثت تغيرات كبيرة في المهنة. هدفت الدراسة إلى بناء منهج نموذجي لتدريس تخصص المكتبات والمعلومات بصورة تلائم البيئة التقنية الحديثة والى تحديد الشروط والمواصفات الواجب توفرها في الدارسين لهذا القسم. وتأتي أهميتها من أنها تقدم إطارا فلسفيا لتطور تخصص المكتبات والمعلومات وتقدم سيناريو جديدا لكيفية مواكبة التطورات التقنية الحديثة من خلال ثلاثة محاور: المنهج والكلية والطالب. يأخذ هذا التفكير منحى فلسفيا تتعرض له الدراسة يتناول عدة واجهات تغير كثيرا من ثوابت المهنة وتلقي بدورها بأعباء ومسئوليات جديدة على المهنة والمشتغلين فيها (ما هو المنهج الجديد ومن إنسان المرحلة).

The enormous technological developments that the world is going through today have greatly affected our daily lifestyle (our desires, needs, our way of thinking, and how we perform our functions). Libraries and information centers are one of the areas that have been greatly affected by these technical developments where most of the operations that are carried out to manage them are done in a highly technical manner, which changed the working environments for the old and even new officials where there have been significant changes in the profession.
The study aimed to build a model curriculum to teach the specialty of libraries and information in a manner appropriate to the modern technological environment and to determine the conditions and specifications to be met in the students of this department. Its importance comes from providing a philosophical framework for the development of library and information specialization and offering a new scenario of how to keep up with modern technological developments through three topics: the curriculum, the college, and the student.
This thinking takes a philosophical approach to which the study deals with several facets that change a lot of the parameters of the profession and, in turn, place new burdens and responsibilities on the profession and those working in it (what is the new approach and the human stage).
