المستخلص: The promotion of socially responsible governance of public procurements is acutely needed in Morocco for at least three reasons: democratic, economic and social. Such governance requires the development of social responsibility of public administration. That responsibility lies in the fact that the company has to fully ensure its economic function without abandoning its social role. This means that policy makers and public managers should be more concerned with social and environmental issues of public procurement, as social responsibility is considered as the backbone of good governance in an environment under the influence of an antisocial economic system.
