المستخلص: This study deals with the semiotics of whims in the stories of the wild animal infused in the folds of the pre-Islamic poetry, which emanate from the poet's digression to the analogy of his camel to them. It draws forms of the struggle for survival experienced by humans and animals at that time. It symbolizes the suffering of the Arab man from the forms of extinction, although he is convinced of the inevitability of that, he is disturbed by the psychological anxiety of the unknown that accompanies him, and he is exhausted by his sense of fear and weakness. It is he who has long praised strength, and courage and rejected weakness and cowardice.

Cette sémiotique retrace les différentes formes de la lutte pour la survie connue par les humains et les animaux à l'époque; elle symbolise la souffrance des hommes arabes à cause des différentes formes de disparition. Malgré la certitude de la mort, l'homme est exposé à de l'inconnu, qui l'accompagne et par son sentiment de peur et de faiblesse, lui qui a toujours loué la force et le courage et qui a banni la faiblesse et la lâcheté.

تتناول هذه الدراسة سيميائية الأهواء في قصص الحيوان الوحشي المبثوثة في ثنايا الشعر الجاهلي، والمنبثقة من استطراد الشاعر إلى تشبيه ناقته بها، حيث ترسم أشكالا من صور الصراع من أجل البقاء التي يعيشها الإنسان والحيوان آنذاك، وترمز إلى معاناة الإنسان العربي من أشكال الفناء ورغم يقينه بحتمية ذلك، يؤرقه القلق النفسي من المجهول الذي يرافقه، ويرهقه شعوره بالخوف والضعف، وهو الذي طالما مدح القوة والشجاعة ونبذ الضعف والجبن.
