المستخلص: This research aims to show the importance of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for measuring academic staff performance. This measuring is considered as the first step for the academic development process, as well as the best way to measure any deviation and define its type in any system, regardless the features of this system. This process, also, is the first step to prepare a good plan for technical and administrative development and maintaining of this system. The administration measuring means how far the system is capable to apply all its resources to achieve some outputs, which in turn fulfill the goals of the system. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a subjective method to mix many measurements for evaluation (Quantity and Quality) in one integrated evaluating process, which takes into consideration different aspects of evaluation phases to come out with a balanced evaluation. This analysis is characterized by a lot of advantages; some of them are as follows: 1- This process (Analytic Hierarchy Process) is based on some methodology steps, which are characterized by being clear, flexible and easy to be carried out and understood by all users. 2- This process helps doing fair evaluation without being affected by personal views. 3- The Analytic Hierarchy Process helps achieving the strategic objectives for the Institute/organization instead of concentrating on short-term objectives, which achieves some individual goals for different organization’s departments. 4- This process is more suitable in case of multiple criteria evaluation, especially if it includes evaluating non-quantities or non-descriptive values in addition to the quantitative values.
