المستخلص: يشهد اليوم نظام إدارة البيئة والمتمثل في معيار الإيزو 14001 انتشارا واسعا في جميع أنحاء العالم، حيث يعتبر كأحد أهم الوسائل الأكثر استعمالا في مجال إدارة البيئة داخل المؤسسات. ولقد اهتمت الكثير من الأبحاث بدراسة وتحليل وتحديد الرهانات والدوافع التي تحفز المؤسسات على تبني هذا النظام. الهدف من هذا البحث هو توضيح وتحديد أهم الرهانات التي تقف وراء تبني المؤسسات لنظام الإيزو 14001 وهذا من خلال الاعتماد على دراسة وتحليل الدراسات السابقة. نظهر نتائج هذا البحث أن الرهانات الأساسية التي تدفع بالمؤسسات إلى الالتزام بهذا النظام، المستقاة من الدراسات السابقة، هي كالتالي: موافقة التشريعات، الحفاظ على صورة وتنافسية المؤسسة، تحفيز وحشد العمال، تحقيق اقتصاد التكاليف وأخيرا الإبداع التكنولوجي.

Depuis son apparition en 1996, la norme ISO 14001 connait une grande diffusion dans le monde. Aujourd’hui, elle est considérée comme le référentiel le plus utilisé dans le domaine du management environnemental. Beaucoup de recherches se sont attachées à analyser l’engouement des entreprises sur cette norme afin de déterminer les enjeux liés à son adoption. Cet article de recherche, sur la base d’une revue de littérature non exhaustive, tente d’éclairer et d’identifier les enjeux et les motivations liés à l’engagement des entreprises dans la norme ISO 14001. Les résultats de cette étude montrent que les principales motivations identifiées dans la littérature sont liées notamment à la conformité réglementaire, l’image et la compétitivité de l’entreprise, la motivation et la mobilisation du personnel, l’économie des coûts et enfin l’innovation technologique.

Today, the environmental management system represented by the ISO 14001 standard is widespread in all parts of the world, as it is considered as one of the most used means in the field of environmental management within institutions. There are many researches that have been concerned with studying, analyzing, and specifying the stakes and motives that motivate institutions to adopt this system. The aim of this research is to clarify and define the most important bets that stand behind the institutions ’adoption of the ISO 14001 system, through relying on the study and analysis of previous studies. The results of this research show that the main stakes that push institutions to adhere to this system, drawn from previous studies, are as follows: legislative approval, maintaining the image and competitiveness of the institution, motivating and mobilizing workers, achieving cost savings and finally technological innovation.
