المستخلص: تتناول هذه الدراسة مجتمع شمال أفريقيا القديم وثقافته وهي تحاول تفحص التاريخ الذي كتب بأقلام أجنبية غير موضوعية في كثير من الأحيان وهي أقلام أسست لفكرة أن شمال أفريقيا ليست له إسهامات في الحضارة الإنسانية.
وعبر ثلاث محطات رئيسية تحاول الدراسة أن تعرف بـ:
- البلاد وخصائصها الطبيعية المنعكسة على المجتمع.
- المجتمع من حيث الأصول والبنى الاجتماعية والأسرة ومكانة المرأة.
- ثقافة الشمال الأفريقي القديم وإسهاماته في الحضارة الإنسانية.
وهذا للوصول في الأخير إلى أن للمغرب القديم عموما والجزائر على وجه الخصوص إسهاماته التي لا يمكن إغفالها، داعين الباحثين الشباب إلى ضرورة إعادة قراءة تاريخ المنطقة وخاصة القديم منه لتحريره من الأحكام المسبقة قديما وحديثا.

This study examines the ancient North Africa society and its culture as it attempts to examine the history that was often written by non-objective foreign pens that were founded for the idea that North Africa has no contributions to human civilization.
Across three main stations, the study is trying to identify:
- The country and its natural characteristics reflected on society.
- Society in terms of origins, social structures, family and status of women.
- Ancient North African culture and its contributions to human civilization.
This is in order to reach the conclusion that the old Maghreb in general and Algeria in particular have their contributions that can not be neglected. We should motivate young researchers to re-read the history of the region, especially the old one, to liberate it from prejudices from the past and in the modern era.

Cette étude traite la société et la culture de l’Afrique du Nord ancienne. Elle essaie d’examiner crtains aspects de l'histoire de cette région; il s'agit là des écrits d’auteurs de l’époque coloniale, non objectifs dans de nombreux cas, ces auteurs ont mis en place l'idée que, l’Afrique du Nord, n'a pas de contributions à la civilisation humaine.
Ce fond est abordé dans cette étude, à travers trois points principaux, qui sont
- Les caractéristiques naturelles du pays.
- La société de Maghreb ancien, ses origines, ses structures, la famille et le statut de la femme...
- La culture de l’Afrique du Nord ancienne, sa contribution à la civilisation humaine
Et ce, pour tirer des conclusions plus objectives; ce pays donnait à l'humanité le premier roman (Asinus aureus) et la première encyclopédie dans les sciences agronomiques.
Donc, ces travaux créatifs ne peuvent pas être ignorés, et nous appelons nos jeunes chercheurs à la nécessité de relire l'histoire de la région, en particulier son histoire ancienne, pour libérer notre histoire de ces préjugés, commis par certains historiens tendancieux.
