|a اخترت موضوع (معاهدة صلح الخليفة عمر بن الخطاب (رضي الله عنه) لأهل إيلياء) وذلك لخوض بحث عناصره للوصول إلي أدق الروايات التاريخية لصيغة المعاهدة واستبعاد المبهمة والمتأخرة، والسبب في ذلك يعود إلى أهمية المعاهدة التي سعى أغلب المستشرفين إلى إلي ثبت روايات تاريخية عربية مختلفة ونسبها إلى فترة عقدها في القرن الأول الهجري، لإضفاء الحقيقة عليها ولإثبات حقوق دينية وتاريخية لأديان ومذاهب وملل تسعى للسيطرة على مدينة إيلياء (بيت المقدس) وبأن هذا الحق قديم وأزلي اعترف به خليفة المسلمين ذاته حسب زعمهم. ورغم أهمية المعاهدة التي تتعلق بفترة مبكرة للدولة العربية الأولي (صدر الإسلام) إلا أن تاريخها لم يتم تدوينه إلا في فترة متأخرة، إذ أنه من المعروف بأن التاريخ دون في العصر العباسي، وعليه فإن الكثير من الغموض والمبالغات أسندت لهذه المعاهدة وغيرها من الأحداث التاريخية الأولى المتعلقة بتاريخ الدولة العربية الأولي، فكانت هذه المعاهدة المهمة عرضة للروايات المعروفة في التاريخ بـ (الإسرائيليات) الروايات الكاذبة، لإثبات حقوق لأديان أخرى في بيت المقدس أولى القبلتين ومسرى خاتم الأنبياء، فضلا عن ذلك فأهمية المعاهدة تتمثل في إظهار حقيقة روح الإسلام في التعامل مع الديانات الأخرى والشعوب المغلوبة المضطهدة التي تمتعت في ظله بحقوق وحريات دينية حُرمت منها في ظل حكوماتها السابقة والتي تدين بنفس أديانها. واعتمدت في هذه الدراسة على المنهج التاريخي السردي، لسرد صيغ نصوص المعاهدة عن أهم المؤرخين العرب وأكثرهم ثقة وكذلك سرد صيغ المعاهدة المتأخرة والتي نسبت للخليفة عمر بن الخطاب (رضي الله عنه). وكذلك اعتمدت على المنهج العلمي التحليلي، لدراسة تحليلية تفصيلية لنصوص صيغ المعاهدة مستعينة بالأحداث التاريخية في فترة صدر الإسلام وأسلوب الكتابة من خلال الشعر العربي الذي ظل محتفظا بروح صدر الإسلام وأسلوب الكتابة، وذلك للوصول إلى أثبت الروايات الحقيقية لصيغة المعاهدة واستبعاد المتأخرة بشكل علمي بعيد عن العاطفة والانحياز.
