| 520 | |b 5-Amino-6-benzoyl-4-methyl-2-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine (3) and 5-Amino-4-methyl- 2-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-6-carboxamide (5) , were prepared from 5-Cyano-4- methyl-2-phenylpyrimidin-6(lH)-thione(l). The reaction of compound 5 with some carbonyl compounds lead to the formation of pyrimidothienopyrimidinone derivatives 6 - 9.Compound 7was used as precursor for synthesis of4-Methyl-2-phenyl-6- (substitutedmethyl)pyrimido[4,5:4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-8(7H)-one ( 10 - 13) by reaction with different amines .Compounds 3, 5, 7 and 13 were selected and screened in vitro for their biological activity against breast carcinoma and lung carcinoma . | ||
