أحد أهداف المملكة العربية السعودية التوجه نحو الاقتصاد المبني على المعرفة، نتج عنه إنشاء العديد من الجامعات وانشاء صناعة المعرفة ودعمها. وللتأكد من فاعلية الجامعات السعودية، سعت هذه الى تطبيق نظام الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي لمدخلات وعمليات المنظومة التعليمية باستخدام معايير الهيئة الوطنية السعودية للتقويم والاعتماد الأكاديمي ومعايير الهيئات العالمية. بعض الجامعات حصلت على الاعتماد والأخريات في طريقها له. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد درجة إسهام نظم الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي في تحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة بالجامعات السعودية من وجهة نظر عينة من اعضاء هيئة التدريس؛ ومعرفة الإختلاف في استجابات عينة الدراسة وفقاً لمتغيري الجنس والجامعة. اُستخدم للدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، والاستبيان الإلكتروني: أداة لجمع البيانات. من أهم النتائج: أن درجة اسهام نظم الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي في تحقيق الأبعاد التسعة المحددة كمتطلبات لتحقيق مجتمع المعرفة كان بدرجة متوسطة ومتفاوتة تبعاً لقيم متوسطاتها؛ حيث جاء بُعد تحسين وتطوير التقنية وتكنولوجيا المعلومات في مقدمة الأبعاد من حيث اسهام نظم الجودة والإعتماد الأكاديمي في تحقيقه، ويأتي دعم البحث العلمي في آخر هذه الأبعاد. كما وجدت الدراسة وجود فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية في تقدير درجة الإسهام تبعاً لمتغيري الجنس والجامعة. وقدمت الدراسة توصيات لرفع درجة إسهام نظم الجودة والإعتماد الأكاديمي في تحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة.
One of the Goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is to proceed towards an economy built on knowledge, Such direction yielded the initiation of numerous new universities and the initiation and support of Knowledge Industry, To ascertain their effectiveness, some universities proceeded to apply Quality System (QS) as well as Academic Accreditation (AA) for their input data and their process of teaching systems, utilizing the criteria of the National Commission for Appraisal and Academic Accreditation (NCAAA), in addition to those of International Commissions, Some universities obtained accreditation; others are on the way to it, The aim of the study is to determine the degree of participation of (QS) together with (AA) for the fulfillment of Knowledge Society`s (KS) requirements as produced by Saudi Universities, from the point of view of a specimen of their academic staff; also to know the difference in the responses of the study specimen according to Sex or University, The study used the descriptive-analytical approach; and a questionnaire to collect data, Important results: The degree of participation of the (QS) and the (AA) for the fulfillment the nine dimensions which are defined as prerequisite for (KS) came in a moderate degree and varies according to its arithmetical mean, The dimension of improving and developing Technology as well as information Technology came at the head of other dimensions, The study also found statistical differences in the assessment of the degree of participation according to the variables of Sex or University, The study produced some recommendations to increase the degree of participation of (QS and CA) in the attainment of (KS) requirements,
