هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف مستوى الرضا عن الحياة الجامعية وعلاقته بدرجة تقدير الذات لدى طالبات جامعة الطفيلة في الأردن، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة استخدم الباحثان استبانتان الأولى لقياس مستوى الرضا عن الحياة الجامعية، والثانية لقياس درجة تقدير الذات، وقد تم التحقق من صدقهما وثباتهما، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (301) طالبة تم اختيارهن بطريقة عشوائية، وقد أشارت النتائج إلى أن درجة رضا الطالبات عن الحياة الجامعية جاء بتقدير متوسط، أما درجة تقديرهن لذواتهن فقد جاء بدرجة عالية، كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05= a) في درجة تقدير أفراد عينة الدراسة لدرجة الرضا عن الحياة الجامعية في مجال الضبط الذاتي تعزى لمتغيرات التخصص، السكن الجامعي، والمعدل التراكمي لصالح الكليات الإنسانية للطالبات القاطنات في سكن الجامعة واللواتي معدلاتهن التراكمية جيد فأكثر. كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة في درجة تقدير أفراد عينة الدراسية لذواتهن تعزى لمتغير المعدل التراكمي لصالح الطالبات اللواتي معدلاتهن التراكمية جيد فأكثر، كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطيه بين الرضا لدى طالبات الجامعة عن الحياة الجامعية وتقدير الذات، وقد أوصى الباحثان عدد من التوصيات.
This study aims at identifying the correlation between the level of satisfaction with university life and the degree of self-esteem among female students at TTU, Jordan. To achieve the objective of this study, the researchers used two questionnaires to measure the level of satisfaction with university life and the degree of self-esteem. The validity and reliability of the findings of the study have been checked. The study sample consisted of 300 students who were randomly selected. The study finds that the degree of the female students’ self-esteem was average, whereas the level of their satisfaction with university life was very high. The results also indicate the presence of statistically significant differences between the level of satisfaction with university life and the degree of self-esteem due to the variables of major, place of residency and grade point average (GPA). The highest degrees were recorded among the humanities female students who were living in the university dormitories and had good GPAs or above. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the presence of a statistically significant differences at the degree of self-satisfaction due to the variable of GPAs. Female students with good GPAs or above demonstrated higher degrees of self-esteem than their counterparts with lower GPAs. The study concludes there is a correlation between the degree of self-esteem and the level of satisfaction with university life among TTU female students. Several recommendations are proposed by the researchers.
