المستخلص: لقد هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد وصف علمي لتقديم المعلومات من خلال الوسائط المتعددة للطلبة في أشكال مدمجة ومنظمة، وإبراز الاستخدامات الواسعة لتكنولوجيا الوسائط المتعددة وأهميتها التعليمية، إلى جانب رفع مستوى الوعي باستخدام تقنيات الوسائط المتعددة وذلك للفوائد التي توفرها للعملية التعليمية في مؤسسات التعليم العالي. وتتمثل أهمية هذه الدراسة في تعزيز العملية التعليمية وذلك بإبراز أهمية ودواعي استخدام تكنولوجيا الوسائط المتعددة في التعليم الجامعي وأيضا تحديد فعالية المتعلم في استخدام الوسائط المتعددة داخلً الصف. وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي وهو منهج يهدف إلى وصف ظواهر وأحداث وأشياء معينة وجمع حقائق ومعلومات عنها ذات قيمة علمية تؤيد ممارسات قائمة أو ترشد إلى سبل تغيرها إلى نحو ما ينبغي أن يكون عليه الوضع ويعتبر من أهم أهداف الوسائط المتعددة هو الهدف الإنساني الذي يهدف إلى تحقيق رفاهية الإنسان وتقدمه وتحقيق تواصله وتفاعله مع مجالات الحياة المختلفة ومنها التعليم والتدريب والفنون والثقافة والبحث العلمي والاتصالات. وتسهم الوسائط المتعددة بشكل كبير في توصيل المعلومات بدقة وعمق أكبر مما يؤدي إلى رفع الكفاءة ومستوى الأداء. أن التدريس باستخدام الوسائط المتعددة يتيح الفرصة للمتعلم لمواجهة قضايا وظواهر ومواقف تعليمية غير مألوفة، الآمر الذي يتطلب تفسيرا من المتعلم في ضوء خبراته السابقة وخلق ما يسمى بالتعلم النشط.

The study aimed to determine a scientific description to provide information to the student through multimedia in a compact and organized formats and to highlight the extensive use and the impotance of multimedia technology in education, as well as raising the level of awareness using multimedia techniques for the benefits that it provides to the educational process in the institutions of higher education. The importance of this study is to strengthen the educational process by highlighting the importance and reasons for the use of multimedia technology in higher education and also to determine the effectiveness of the learner in the use of multimedia in the classroom. The researcher used the Descriptive Method, it is an approach aims to describe phenomenas and and events to collect certain facts and information about multimedia that has valuable scientific values that supports existing practices or guide ways to change to what should be the best practice. One of the most important multimedia objectives is the humanitarian objective which aims to achieve human well-being and progress, its continuance and it’s interactive with different areas of life including; education, training, arts, culture, scientific research and communications. The multimedia is heavily contributing in delivering information in very comperhansive way and with high accuracy leading to the increase in the efficiency and the performance. Teaching using multimedia provides an opportunity for the learner to address issues, phenomenas, and unusal educational attitudes which require an explanation from the learner based on his previous experience and to create in him the active learning behavior.
