|f Desiring from the educational system to reform education, keeping pace with the changes taking place nationally and internationally, and keeping pace with the scientific development taking place in various fields, and taking advantage of modern theories in teaching methods, linguistics, psychology and sociology, the educational system initiated its new project at the beginning of the school season. (2016-2017), named as the Second Generation Book, which entered the primary education during its first two years and intermediate education through its first year in almost all subjects, including Arabic. This article aims to follow the features of the theory of functional grammar adopted by the second-generation Arabic language book for grammar activity for the 7th grade of intermediate education. It is one of the most recent linguistic theories that see language being used to serve communication. These features are manifested in the following: proper communication with a view to adopting a textual approach, selecting the most frequently spoken content, how content is arranged, how it is displayed, exercises and applications on the use of reading, writing and annotation.
