المستخلص: Objective The main objective of the present research study is to assess the effects of using long acting antipsychotic drugs on the outcome of treatment of schizophrenic patients in Abdalaal Alidries hospital. Methodology The study design is based on prospective study hospital based investigation .A number of 55 patients were selected, randomly, from a grand total coverage of all schizophrenic patients during one month in Abdalaal Alidries hospital. Data the collection and the technique adopted for data analysis consist of the following parameters: PANSS, QOLS and GASS. Results Results obtained were statistically been analyzed using SPSS-analysis assed it was found that all the results obtained were statistically significant when - Negative symptoms according to gender P=0.039 - PANSS according to side effects P=0.02 - Social relationship domain according to gender P=.017 - Social relationship domain according to marital status P=.000 - Psychological domain according to marital status P=0.019 Conclusion The use of long acting injectable antipsychotic drugs such as Fluphenazine, Zuclopenthixol and Flupentixol for schizophrenic patients produced safe, efficacy and symptomatically stable results, which are associated with absence/mild side effects, low/average PANSS and also good quality of life.
