The study aimed at dealing with the power of the body in the contemporary Arabic novel in a cultural reading. It began by presenting the status of the modern Arabic novel today and the use of the body as one of the important studies in cultural criticism, pointing to its employment in narrative works. The study tackled some of the selected Arab works of fiction, which were subject to taste choice, which serves the research according to a cultural approach to highlight the hidden aspects of the cultural criticism, because it includes comprehensiveness and briefing regarding the text. It suggested reading specific novels including The Italian "Al-Taliani" novel of Shokri Al-Mabkhot of Tunisia and the novel of Bamboo Stalk "Saq Al-Bamboo" of Saud Al-Sanusi from the State of Kuwait. It concluded by pointing out that the authority of the body was strong in the escalation of events and was used by the Arab novelist in the narrative. That was either because he was sexually hungry, or intended to cause a defect in social construction or used it as a symbol to express serious events because of the prevailing policy of repression in our societies. The contemporary selected Arab works of fiction contain many hypotheses and perhaps an attempt to bring reality closer, expressing the disappointment experienced by young people. هدفت الدراسة إلى تناول سلطة الجسد في الرواية العربية المعاصرة قراءة ثقافية. فبدأت بعرض مكانة الرواية العربية المعاصرة اليوم وأن توظيف الجسد من الدراسات المهمة في النقد الثقافي مشيرة إلى توظيفه في الأعمال الروائية. وتناولت الدراسة بعض الاعمال الروائية العربية المنتقاة التي خضعت الى الاختيار الذوقي الذي يخدم البحث وفق منهج ثقافي لإبراز الجوانب الخفية المضمرة لأن النقد الثقافي فيه شمولية وإحاطة بما حول النص. فعرضت لقراءة روايات منها رواية الطلياني لشكري المبخوت من تونس، ورواية ساق البامبو لسعود السنعوسي من دولة الكويت. واختتمت بالإشارة إلى أن سلطة الجسد كانت قوية في تصاعد الأحداث وقد استعمله الروائي العربي في السرد؛ إما لأنه مصاب بجوع جنسي أو أنه موجه لأحداث خلل في البناء الاجتماعي أو استعمله رمزا للتعبير عن أحداث جسيمة بسبب سياسة القمع السائدة في مجتمعاتنا. وأن الأعمال الروائية العربية المعاصرة المنتقاة فيها فرضيات كثيرة وربما محاولة لتقريب الواقع وتعبر عن الخيبة التي يعانيها الشباب. وقد استثمر المبدعون سلطة الجسد وسلطانه في عرض تفاصيل الحياة التي بدت أشبه بلغز محير في شرقنا الواسع.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
