The present study aimed to identify the reasons for the low level of achievement for students in the preparatory year at the University of the northern border in the English language curriculum, from the perspective of students and faculty members, and what about the methods of treatment, the sample consisted of (550) of the students and faculty members at the University of Northern Border, it was the use a questionnaire reasons for the low achievement of university students In the English language, which was designed and developed by the research team, the results showed that the. main reasons expressed by the members of the sample of the study are: lack of participation and interaction during a lesson the English language, and the inability professor of curriculum well, and the current curriculum does not keep pace with modem developments, and the use of Professor teaching methods are not Appropriate with the students, and the study of the English language is difficult, and indulgence professor with the students, and do not use a professor of modem technologies, And the most important treatment methods expressed by the members of the sample, is a good Construction for the student since elementary school, and work training courses in the English language. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the mean responses of male students and female students and teachers in the causes of the low level of achievement in the English, for the benefit of the female students and then the male students and teachers.
هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على أسباب تدني المستوى التحصيلي لطلاب وطالبات السنة التحضرية في جامعة الحدود الشمالية في مادة اللغة الإنجليزية، من وجهة نظر الطلاب والطالبات وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، والتعرف على أساليب العلاج، تكونت العينة من (550) من طلاب وطالبات وأعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الحدود الشمالية، وتم استخدام استبيان أسباب تدني تحصيل طلاب وطالبات الجامعة في اللغة الإنجليزية، والذي تم تصميمه وتطويره من قبل فريق البحث، أظهرت النتائج أن أهم الأسباب التي عبر عنها أفراد عينة الدراسة هي: عدم المشاركة والتفاعل أثناء محاضرة اللغة الإنجليزية، وعدم تمكن الأستاذ من المادة جيداً، والمنهج الحالي لا يواكب تطورات العصر، واستخدام الأستاذ لطرق تدريس لا تتناسب مع الطلاب، ودراسة اللغة الإنجليزية صعبة، وتساهل الأستاذ مع الطلاب، وعدم استخدام الأستاذ للتقنيات الحديثة وأهم أساليب العلاج التي اقترحها أفراد العينة، هي التأسيس الجيد للطالب منذ المرحلة الابتدائية، وعمل دورات تدريبية في اللغة الإنجليزية، وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات استجابات الطلاب والطالبات وأعضاء هيئة التدريس في أسباب تدني المستوى التحصيلي في مادة اللغة الإنجليزية ولصالح الطالبات ثم الطلاب ثم أعضاء هيئة التدريس.
