هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف علي معوقات النشر العلمي من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس وتأثير المتغيرات الديموغرافية (الرتبة الأكاديمية، التخصص العلمي، سنوات الخبرة) علي اتجاهات أعضاء هيئة التدريس نحوها؛ ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة قام الباحث بتوزيع استبانة علي أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعة عينة للدراسة واستخدم المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة الموافقة علي كافة بنود الاستبانة المتعلقة بمعوقات النشر الإلكتروني، وكذلك أظهرت وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط إجابات أفراد العينة عند مستوى الدلالة 0.05 عن بنود الاستبانة تعزى لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية رتبة أستاذ، وكذلك أظهرت عدد من النتائج ومن أبرزها خوف أعضاء هيئة التدريس من عدم اعتراف لجان الترقية بأبحاثهم العلمية المنشورة إلكترون،، كما أظهرت النتائج أن أفراد العينة يؤيدون فكرة النشر العلمي الإلكتروني وأن 61% من أفراد العينة لديهم أبحاث علمية منشورة إلكترونيا، ومن أبرز التوصيات قيام الجامعة بدعم وتشجيع أعضاء هيئة التدريس علي نشر إنتاجهم العلمي الإلكتروني ونشر الوعي بأهمية ذلك، مساندة الجامعة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس الراغبين في إنشاء مواقعهم وصفحاتهم الخاصة علي الشبكة لنشر إنتاجهم العلمي من خلال مساعدتهم في تذليل الصعوبات التي تعتريهم.
This study aimed to look at the obstacles to electronic academic publishing according the views and opinions of the academic faculty at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the effect of academic status, specialization, and years of experience on the responses of the academic faculty members. To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher tested all of the Academic faculty in the University whose number reached 112 as a sample for the study. The researcher used the descriptive method in the study. The results of the study revealed that statistically significant differences exist between the mean responses of the individuals in the study at a level of 0.05 from the questionnaire that are related to the variable of academic status at the level of professor. Results also revealed that the levels of obstacles among the academic faculty are large and that the most apparent of them are a fear of promotion committees not recognizing their research that has been published electronically. Results also revealed that 89% of the individuals sampled support the idea of electronic academic publishing and that 61% have academic research that they have published electronically. The study proposes a number of recommendations. From among them are the following: Support and encouragement from the University for the academic faculty to publish their research on the internet, and spreading the awareness of the importance of that.
