هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد ملامح السنة التحضيرية بجامعة الدمام. والتعرف على مستوي رضا طلاب وطالبات المسار الهندسي عن الدراسة بالسنة التحضيرية. والكشف عن الصعوبات التي تواجه الطلاب والطالبات بالسنة التحضرية من وجهة نظر طلاب وطالبات كليات المسار الهندسي. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من مجموعة من طلاب وطالبات الكليات الهندسية المستوى الرابع وبلغ عددهم 203 طالبا. وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في إعداد استبانة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة رضا الطلاب والطالبات وآرائهم عن السنة التحضيرية كان مقبولا بدرجة متوسطة. وبينت أن المحور الرابع بعنوان مدى مناسبة البيئة التعليمية بالسنة التحضيرية جاء في المرتبة الأولى ويليه بالترتيب محور أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالسنة التحضيرية. وبرنامج السنة التحضيرية وتطوير المهارات. ومدى مناسبة المعارف والمهارات في محتوى مقررات السنة التحضيرية. وأخيرا الرضا العام عن السنة التحضيرية. كما أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق فردية بين مستوى رضا طلاب وطالبات كليات المسار الهندسي عن الدراسة بالسنة التحضيرية بجامعة الدمام تعزى لمتغير الجنس. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة التحقق من مدى مناسبة محتوى مقرر أساسيات التصميم للطلاب والطالبات باختلاف تخصصاتهم المستقبلية. والتأكيد على مساعدة الطلاب لاكتسابهم مهارات البحث والتفكير وحل المشكلات والاتصال. والتي تسهم في نجاح الطالب في دراسته المستقبلية. وأوصت بضرورة التأكيد على أهمية متابعة مستوى التحصيل الأكاديمي للطلاب وتقديم الإرشاد والدعم المناسب لهم.ومراجعة نواتج التعلم على مستوى المقررات بالسنة التحضيرية بما يحقق نواتج التعلم المراد تحقيقها بكل مسار.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The study aimed to identify the features of the preparatory year at the University of Dammam, to determine the level of satisfaction of the engineering male and female students in the preparatory year and to reveal the difficulties that were faced by the female and male students in the preparatory year from the perspective of male and female students of the engineering courses colleges. The study used the descriptive analytical method. The sample of the study consisted of a group of male and female students of the fourth level engineering colleges numbered 203 students. The study tool was in the preparation of a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that the degree of satisfaction of the male and female students and their views about the preparatory year was acceptable in a medium degree. It also pointed out that the fourth axis entitled the extent of the appropriate educational environment in the preparatory year came in the first place followed by ranking the axis of the faculty members in the preparatory year, the preparatory year program, the development of skills and the appropriateness of the knowledge and skills in the content of the preparatory year courses. Finally the general satisfaction with the preparatory year. The results also indicate that there are no individual differences between the level of satisfaction of the female and male students of the engineering course students from the preparatory year in the University of Dammam due to the gender variable. The study recommended the necessity of verifying the adequacy of the content of the course design course for the female and male students according to their future specialization and emphasis on helping students to acquire the research, thinking, problem solving and communication skills which contribute to the student's success in his future studies.
