المستخلص: The present study investigated the effect of social emotional learning on developing self management skills and EFL learning for the fifth year primary school pupils. Participants of the study were sixty fifth year primary pupils divided into two groups (the control group and the experimental group). The study followed the descriptive analytical method and the quasi experimental design.A self management skills checklist was designed and judged. The study employed three instruments,a self management skills test, a self management observation sheet and English language learning test before and after the experiment . The experiment lasted for two months .The experimental group received instruction based on social emotional learning while the control received regular instruction. Results revealed that social emotional learning had a large effect on developing self management skills and enhancing EFL learning for the fifth year primary school pupils.
