المستخلص: The study aims to identify the role of strategic information systems in planning for the management of the financial crisis, and addresses the importance of Strategic Information Systems (SISs) to support the concept of Planning for crisis management. This research is based on an application study in Jordanian banks regarding financial crisis management. Respondents were asked to evaluate the strategic information systems implementation level on a five-point scale. The descriptive analysis of the data points out that the use of strategic information systems in crisis management planning is rather modest. Banks actively involved in crisis management planning in the past two years used strategic information systems (in no more than half of their actions taken). The study reached a number of conclusions, indicates that it is not enough just to own the organization of the five strategic bases of information, but should take into account some of the considerations in the design of these rules to have a high value to contribute to the so- called (strategic initiative). Also, the analysis indicates that strategic information systems have positive impact on the financial crisis management planning. This research provides some recommendations to increase Strategic Information Systems effectiveness on financial crisis management And recommends to make further studies on a larger scale and with additional variables by other researchers.
