|b The current study presents a new programme for teaching literary fiction and drama. This programme incorporates ‘Labov's model’ for conversation analysis and ‘Egan’s imaginative approach to teaching’ with different techniques for evoking imagination. However, through three facets: memory, mental image and creative thinking, imagination is exercised by variety of techniques which stimulate the students to use diverse cognitive tools. The researcher designs an imaginative teaching programme for literary fiction and drama that engages the students’ imagination through the process of teaching.
