المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز الموضوعات والعناصر الرئيسة للنص الحبشي للقديسة "طيقلا" وتحليلها، من خلال ترجمته ترجمة تهتم بالمعنى، وتحافظ على روح النص، نظراً لأهميتها الدينية والتاريخية في التعرف على ما كانت تحتويه أحد أهم الأسفار المفقودة لأبو كريفا العهد الجديد التي تنتمي إلى القرنين الأول والثاني الميلاديين، وهو سفر "أعمال بولس وطيقلا". والتعرف أيضا على رؤية الكاتب الحبشي وهدفه. وتوضيح مكانة هذه القديسة، والدور الذي لعبته في النص الحبشي.

The aim of this paper is to throw light on “The Acts of Paul and Thecla” from The Acts of the Apocryphal, New Testament, through analysing the Ethiopic text of the book of Thekla and translating it in a way that maintains its religious, mythological and historical importance. This study includes the following parts: the Introduction deals with the book of ‘Thekla’, a woman who converted to Christianity because of the preaching of the apostle Paul; then a definition of the book of Thekla, and the origin of the Ethiopic Text. Moreover, the study includes the Apocryphal of Bible, The Acts of The Apocryphal New Testament, The Acts of Paul and Thecla, an analytical Study of the Abyssinian Text, the content of Ethiopic text and its translation. Finally, the study ends with a conclusion and a bibliography of Arabic, Ethiopic, European sources and references.
