تسهم الدراسة في إلقاء الضوء على كيفية الاستفادة مما نحمله في أيدينا من هواتف في إحداث نقلة نوعية في مجال التعليم حيث تتضح مشكلة الدراسة من عدم استخدام الهواتف الذكية في الأغراض التعليمية بشكل واسع على الرغم من انتشار استخدامها ورخص ثمنها وإتاحتها بين طلاب الجامعة واستخدامها فقط في الأغراض التقليدية كإجراءات المكالمات وإرسال الرسائل، وتكتسب أهميتها من الاتجاه العام للدولة نحو تطوير التعليم واستخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة في التعليم، وتكتسب أهميتها من الاتجاه العام للدولة نحو تطوير التعليم واستخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة في التعليم، وتوصيات العديد من المؤتمرات على أهمية التعلم بالهاتف المحمول، وتسعى للتحقق من الفروض الآتية: وجود اتجاهات إيجابية لطلاب نحو التعلم باستخدام الهاتف المحمول، وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات طلاب المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة في الاختبار التحصيلي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية وحددت الدراسة أدواتها في مقياس الاتجاه نحو التعليم بالهاتف المحمول وتطبيق تعليمي بالهاتف المحمول تم تصميمه بمعرفة الباحث لإجراء هذه التجربة واختبار تحصيلي وطبقت الدراسة على عينة من طلاب الفرق الثانية في قسم المكتبات والمعلومات جامعة كفر الشيخ وتم تقسيمها إلى مجموعتين (تجريبية وضابطة)، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن 72% من الطلاب لديهم اتجاه إيجابي نحو تعلم التصنيف بالهاتف المحمول وهذه نسبة مرتفعة وأن تعلم التصنيف بالهاتف المحمول يساعد على زيادة معدل التحصيل الدراسة بنسبة 60% وانتهت الدراسة إلى توصيات بأن تتضمن مقررات أقسام المكتبات والمعلومات مقررا لبرمجة تطبيقات تعليمية للهواتف المحمولة، والاستفادة من تطبيقات الهواتف المحمولة التعليمية في برامج التعليم عن بعد والتعليم المستمر والتدريب أثناء الخدمة.
