المستخلص: The term dysarthria applies to all disorders of speech performance related to the attainment of the various motor pathways that control the phonatory apparatus. Dysarthria involves not only the attainment of the articulation of speech but also the attainment of the voice. In addition, it encompasses both disorders resulting from peripheral lesions of the nervous system and central lesions. Cerebellar dysarthria includes alterations in the articulation of speech and dysphonia resulting from bilateral involvement of the cerebellum or cerebellar pathways. This condition is most common in multiple sclerosis, head trauma and vascular brain stem lesions. Currently, several methods of rehabilitation of speech disorders related to this type of dysarthria are practiced by speech therapists, nevertheless the results of some of these methods are more durable and effective than others. Recognized as a reference method in the management of voice disorders related to dysarthria in France, the LSVT® method remains unknown in Algerian hospital settings. In this study, we try to demonstrate the effectiveness of the LSVT® method in the management of voice disorders in a patient with cerebellar dysarthria. We adopted acoustic analysis by Praat® software as objective means of evaluating the results.
