المستخلص: This research aims to study the stick and its development through the ancient ages including (Sumerian, Pharaonic, and Greek and Roman ages). This research also aims to study the stick and its development in the religions, among the Arabs and in Egypt and then it will study the stick in the modern era. It will study the usage and the development of the stick in its multiple forms and methods of its manufacturing so that we can understand the future image of the stick by knowing the new ideas and their sources and activating the role of the industrial design and its implementations on the stick of the future and technology and its impact on the design of the stick so that we can know the perception of the form of the stick in the future. The study explained the importance of new ideas and their great role and impact on the society as they provide opportunities to develop products by introducing the stick as a human product whose characteristics and form are not known for its multiple usages and various jobs. It then emphasized the role and importance of new ideas and techniques with the imagination studied in the development of the product as well as the impact of ideas on the ability of products to meet the needs of the users. It also emphasized the fact that if the scenario of the influence of the civilizations and the customs on the stick was understood, its future form would be imagined by assuming that there is a relation between the discovery of the new ideas of the design inspired by the influence of the civilizations and the customs on the stick.
The research aims to highlight the development of the stick across different civilizations and determine its future form (what is the shape of the stick in the next stage)? It also aims to identify the role of new ideas in the development of the new product.

يهدف هذا البحث دراسة العصا وتطورها عبر العصور القديمة (السومرية والفرعونية واليونانية والرومانية) وأيضا العصا في الأديان وعند العرب ودراستها في مصر ثم يلي ذلك دراسة العصا في العصر الحديث من الاستعمالات وتطور العصا مع أنواعها وطرق صناعتها ليأخذنا ذلك إلى ماهي الصورة المستقبلية للعصا من خلال معرفة الأفكار الجديدة ومصادرها وتفعيل دور التصميم الصناعي وتطبيقاته على عصا المستقبل ثم التكنولوجيا وتأثيرها على تصميم العصا لتعرف تصور هيئة العصا في المستقبل.
وقد أشارت الدراسة إلى أهمية الأفكار الجديدة ودورها الكبير وتأثيرها على المجتمع من خلال ما تقدمه من فرص لتطوير المنتجات، مع تعريف العصا كمنتج إنساني غير معروف المعالم والهيئة لتعدد استخداماته وكثرة وظائفه، ثم أكدت على دور وأهمية الأفكار والتقنيات الجديدة مع الخيال المدروس في تطوير المنتج بالإضافة تأثير الأفكار على قدرة المنتجات في تلبية احتياجات المستعملين، مع التأكيد على أنه لو تم فهم واستيعاب سيناريو تأثير الحضارات والعادات على العصا لأمكن تخيل شكلها المستقبلي وذلك بفرض أن هناك علاقة بين اكتشاف أفكار جديدة للتصميم مستوحاة من تأثير الحضارات والعادات علي العصا.
ويهدف البحث إلى استيعاب تطور العصا عبر الحضارات المختلفة وتحديد شكلها المستقبلي (ما هو شكل العصا في المرحلة المقبلة)؟ والتعرف على دور الأفكار الجديدة في تطوير المنتج الجديد.
