|b In his critical discourse, Mahmud Shaker starts from the perception that the religious text represented in the Quranic miracle is linked linguistically to the Arabic poetic texts, in spite of the fact that each of them is of a stand-alone source. So, pre-lslamic poetry represents a unique source when we come to study the linguistic expression of pre-lslamic Arabs, i.e., their poetry, as human beings. Al the same time, the Quran represents an origin testifying the greatness of The God of mankind. This kind of relationship between the human and divine texts made Shaker's writings, wherher was creative, critique, or editing, and with considering the distinction of each of them, stem from his conception of the primacy of language.

|a ينطلق محمود شاكر من تصور مفاده أن النص الديني المتمثل في الإعجاز القرآن يرتبط بالنص الشعري، وكل منهما يمثل أصلاً قائماً بذاته، فالشعر الجاهلي قائم بذاته في دراسة بيان عرب الجاهلية وهم بشر، في الوقت الذي كان القرآن أصلاً يدل على عظمة رب البشر وهو ما جعل كل كتابة له إبداعاً ونقداً وتحقيقاً أو غير ذلك – وإن حملت بصمتها الخاصة – تنطلق من تصوره لأولية اللغة.
