With the provision of some solutions and proposals for the development of the university's publishing system. The researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach in analyzing the current situation of university publication to identify obstacles. The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which are the following: 1. Establishment of a publishing center with conceptualize the organizational structure of the center. 2. Work on establishing a university press office with modern technological capabilities, with financial and administrative independence. 3. Launching a publishing center website that includes all works (especially translated books). 4. Inviting the university publishing houses to adhere to the standard specifications sufficiently
إن مفهوم النشر هو الخطوات الفعلية لعملية الإخراج النهائي لإنتاج المحتوى المعلوماتي باستخدام البرامج والتقنيات المختلفة بالهيئة المطبوعة أو الالكترونية أو الإعلامية ويما تشمله من عناصر النشر للوسيط المعلوماتي، ثم الاستخدام المتنوع للوسيط حسب تقنية النشر. ولقد تطور مفهوم النشر نتيجة للتطور المذهل لعالم الاتصالات والحاسبات والمعلومات، وأصبح العالم قرية صغيرة. وأصبح النشر الالكتروني يكمل النشر المطبوع الورقي وأصبحا يلعبان دورا مهما في إقامة اتصال دائم بين الجامعات والمجتمع والباحثين لتبادل المعلومات والأبحاث، مما يدعم ويسهل تدفق المعلومات ويدعم التفاعل فيما بينها. وهدف البحث الى إلقاء الضوء على مفهوم النشر وتاريخه وتطوره وتقنياته، وتحديد المعوقات التي تواجه منظومة النشر العلمي بجامعة الطائف. مع تقديم بعض الحلول والمقترحات لتطوير منظومة النشر بالجامعة. واتبع الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في تحليل الوضع الحالي للنشر بالجامعة لتحديد المعوقات. وخلصت الدراسة الى مجموعة من النتائج من اهمها ما يلى: 1. انشاء مركز للنشر مع وضع تصور للهيكل التنظيمي للمركز. 2. العمل على إنشاء مطبعة للجامعة بإمكانات تكنولوجية حديثة، مع الاستقلال المالي والإداري لها. 3. إطلاق موقع إلكتروني لمركز النشر يتضمن جميع المؤلفات (خاصة الكتب المترجمة). 4. دعوة جهات النشر بالجامعة إلى الالتزام بالمواصفات القياسية بما يضمن ظهور هذه الأوعية في قالب متميز.
