The objective of the research was to identify The Role of the school book for sports education from the point of view of pupils and teachers .as for cogmitie The researchers used the descriptive approach due to its relevance to the nature and objectives of the research by describing what is object and analyzing it and extracting facts from it. The basic research sample included (800) pupils,( 30) of the teachers of physical education, and one of the most important results of the research the importance of the school book, which is the holder of an educational methodology to improve the cognitive abilities of students in the processes of thinking, the theoretical aspect which contributes to the development of scientific thinking among pupils in a scientific manner and educational methodology, the absence of School book of sports education affects the level of cognitive achievement of pupils and the active participation in the lesson of physical education. The researchers recommend the need to provide the education system with a school book for pupils in the Held of physical education and sports in order to raise the efficiency of the educational process in the teaching of sports activities and increase the cognitive and scientific aspects and achieve the goals of physical education and sports and to assist teachers of physical education in the lesson of physical education
يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على دور الكتاب المدرسي للتربية الرياضية من وجهة نظر التلاميذ والمعلمين وتأثيرها على المستوى المعرفي بدرس التربية الرياضية، وقد استخدم الباحثون المنهج الوصفي نظراً لملائمته لطبيعة وأهداف البحث من خلال وصف ما هو كائن وتحليله واستخلاص الحقائق منه، واشتملت عينة البحث الأساسية على (800) تلميذ وتلميذة، وعدد (30) من معلمي التربية الرياضية، وكانت من أهم نتائج البحث ظهور أهمية الكتاب المدرسي الذي يعتبر حامل لمنهجية تربوية لتحسين القدرات المعرفية لتلاميذ في العمليات التفكيرية، فالجانب النظري يساهم في تطوير التفكير العلمي لدى التلاميذ بطريقة علمية ويكون فيه منهجية تربوية، وغياب الكتاب المدرسي للتربية الرياضية يؤثر على مستوى التحصيل المعرفي للتلاميذ وعلى المشاركة الفعالة بدرس التربية الرياضية. ويوصى الباحثون إلى ضرورة تزويد المنظومة التربوية بالكتاب المدرسي للتلاميذ في مادة التربية البدنية والرياضية بغرض رفع كفاءة العملية التعليمية عند تدريس الأنشطة الرياضية وزيادة الجانب المعرفي والعلمي وتحقيق أهداف التربية البدنية والرياضية ومساعده معلمي التربية الرياضية في درس التربية الرياضية.
