يهدف البحث إلى الوقوف على السلوك التصويتي للهند في الأمم المتحدة تجاه القضية الفلسطينية -رؤية استشرافية-، وإلى أي مدى وصل الأمر بالهند بعد أن كانت من أكثر الدول مساندة ودعما للقضية الفلسطينية في كافة المحافل الدولية، ثم تحولت إلى الوقوف على الحياد، ثم وقف التصويت لصالح القضية الفلسطينية، ثم انتهى الأمر بقيامها بالتصويت لصالح إسرائيل على حساب القضية الفلسطينية، وتكمن أهمية الموضوع في أنه يسهم في إثراء المكتبة العربية ويفيد الباحثين المختصين في هذا الشأن، أيضا يعمل على كشف التحول الكبير في العلاقات الهندية مع الفلسطينيين، وما نتج عنه من ازدهار علاقتها مع إسرائيل، وبالتالي خسر الشعب الفلسطيني حليف كبير لطالما وقف مع قضيته العادلة لسنوات طويلة. استخدمت الدراسة عدة مناهج منها المنهج التاريخي في إبراز العلاقات التاريخية التي ربطت الشعب الفلسطيني بالشعب الهندي، وما نتج عنه من وقوف هذه الدولة مع القضية الفلسطينية في كافة المحافل الدولية، أيضا استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في كشف صورة التغير في العلاقات بين الهند وفلسطين، والتحول بالعلاقة لصالح تطوير تحالفها مع إسرائيل، ومساندتها في الأمم المتحدة وغيرها من المنظمات الدولية، واستخدمت الدراسة أيضا المنهج الاستشرافي في استشراف مستقبل العلاقات بين الفلسطينيين من ناحية والصين والهند من ناحية أخري، وهل هناك إمكانية لعودة العلاقات لسابق عهدها. ولقد خلص البحث لعدة نتائج تتلخص في نقاط منها: أن الهند بقيت تدعم الفلسطينيين في الأمم المتحدة منذ نشأة القضية الفلسطينية وحتى الآن، أيضا على الرغم من تنامي العلاقات الإسرائيلية الهندية إلا أن السياسة الهندية لم تتغير كثيرا تجاه القضية الفلسطينية. وقد أوصى البحث بضرورة بناء شبكة علاقات فلسطينية عربية كاملة ضد تنامي العلاقات الهندية الإسرائيلية، وتسخير الدبلوماسية الفلسطينية لعدم خسارة الحليف الهندي للقضية الفلسطينية.
The research aimed at identifying the voting behavior of India in the United Nations in favor of the Palestinian cause - prospective vision - and what ended up with India after it was one of the most supportive countries in support of the Palestinian cause in all international forums. Then, it turned to stand on neutrality. Then, it stopped voting in favor of the Palestinians. It was ended up voting for Israel at the expense of the Palestinian cause. The significance of the topic is that it contributes to the enrichment of the Arab library and serves the specialized researchers. It also reveals the great shift in Indian relations with the Palestinians and the resulting prosperity with Israel. Thus, the Palestinian people lost a great ally who has always stood with his just cause for many years. The study used number of methods, including the historical approach to highlight the historical relations that connected the Palestinian people with the Indian people. That resulted the support of India with the Palestinian cause at all the international forums. The study also used descriptive analytical method in revealing the image of change in relations between India and Palestine. The study described the change in the relation in interest for developing its alliance with Israel, and its support in the United Nations and other international organizations. The study also used the forward-looking approach to explore the future of relations between the Palestinians on one hand, and China and India on the other hand and if there is possibility for the relations to be returned to the previous era. The research concluded several points: India had been supporting Palestinians in the United Nations since the inception of the Palestinian cause, and even until now. Despite the growing of Israeli-Indian relations, Indian policy has not changed much toward the Palestinian cause. The study recommended the necessity of building a full Palestinian-Arab network against growing the Indian-Israeli relations and using the Palestinian diplomacy for not losing the Indian ally to the Palestinian cause.
