تتطلع التربية إلى دور فعال في تكوين شخصية الطلبة من مختلف الجوانب العقلية والاجتماعية والنفسية وللمدرس الدور الفعال في ذلك لما يمتلكه من معارف ومهارات. ونتيجة للظروف غير الطبيعية التي مر بها بلدنا العزيز أثر سلبياً على بعض جوانب العملية التربوية بما فيها المدرسون. الأمر الذي يتطلب تقصي واقع المدرسين في ظل هذه الظروف وفي العديد من متغيرات الشخصية (السلبية والإيجابية) لأجل تشخيصها والتعرف عليها ومن ثم إخضاعها للبحث والدراسة الموجهة كما في البحث الحالي بهدف خلق بيئة تعليمية أكثر توافقاً وتكون قادرة على معالجة السلبيات أن وجدت، وتفعيل وتحليل وتطوير ما هو إيجابي في بحوث لاحقة. من خلال ملاحظة الباحثة إلى وجود انخفاض في مستوى تحصيل بعض الطلبة مع بروز بعض الأنماط السلوكية غير المنضبطة تربوياً مع انتشار ظاهرة التدريس الخصوصي مما يؤشر على ضعف في فاعلية بعض المدرسين في أداء مهامهم العلمية والتربوية ولما لأهمية الرضا النفسي والكفاءة الشخصية والاجتماعية من دور وأثر فاعل في أداء المدرس برزت مشكلة البحث الحالي. كما أن أهداف البحث هي: .1 مستوى الرضا النفسي تبعا لمتغيري الجنس (ذكور – إناث) لدى مدرسي المرحلة الثانوية. مستوى الرضا النفسي تبعا لمتغير الحالة الاجتماعية (متزوج – أعزب).
