المستخلص: The boundaries and terminology were considered as symbols that represented specific concepts, while at the same time they were practical linguistic activities. They provide an effort and approximate the time in the processes of the connection and the collection. The research tried to clarify some of the terms or the syntactic boundaries as concept, application and methodology in the books of derivation until the end of the fourth AH century , were represented in five books, namely: (Derivation of names) for Al-Aṣma'i, (216 AH), (Message of the derivation) for Ibn Al-Sarraj, (316 AH), (the derivation) for Ibn Duraid, (321 AH), (Knowing the derivation of the names which the holly Quran pronounced...) Abu Bakr al - Sijistani,(330 AH) , and (Derivation of the names of Allah) for Al-Zajjaji (337 AH). Furthermore, the methodology of the derivation books among the ancients was established on a structural basis , which represented the basic pillar in the crystallization of the theoretical work, and without doubt that this approach emerged from a certain perception, depending on a collection of means to convey the facts. Therefore they resorted to the control in the form or formula or example and everything that would clarify the linguistic material, as well as standing at the conceptual or representative definition with the relative dimension of the reforming and verbal definition, so that their treatment for syntactic boundaries varied according to their writings and the points at the convergence or difference according to size and purpose and other of what will be revealed by this research.

تعد الحدود أو المصطلحات رموزاً تمثل مفاهيم محددة، وهي في الوقت نفسه أنشطة لغوية تطبيقية، توفر جهداً، وتقرب الزمن في عمليتي التوصيل والتحصيل. ويحاول البحث استجلاء بعض الحدود أو المصطلحات الصرفية مفهوماً وتطبيقاً ومنهجاً في كتب الاشتقاق حتى نهاية القرن الرابع الهجري متمثلة بخمسة كتب هي: اشتقاق الأسماء للأصمعي (ت 216 هـ)، ورسالة الاشتقاق لابن السراج (ت 316 هـ)، والاشتقاق لابن دريد (ت 321 هـ)، وكتاب معرفة اشتقاق أسماء نطق بها القرآن لأبي بكر السجستاني (ت 330 هـ)، واشتقاق أسما الله للزجاجي (ت 337 هـ)، وقد أقيمت منهجية كتب الاشتقاق عند القدماء على أسس بنائية تمثل ركناً أساسياً في بلورة العمل التأليفي، ولا شك في أن هذا المنهج انبثق عن إدراك وبصيرة اعتماداً على مجموعة وسائل لإيصال الحقائق، فلجؤوا إلى الضبط بالوزن أو الصيغة أو المثال وكل من شأنه توضيح المادة اللغوية، فضلاً عن وقوفهم عند التعرف المفهومي أو التمثيلي مع البعد النسبي للتعريف الاصطلاحي واللفظي، وقد كانت معالجاتهم للحدود الصرفية متفاوتة بحسب مؤلفاتهم وما بينها في نقاط التقاء أو اختلاف حجماً وهدفاً وغير ذلك مما سيكشفه هذا البحث.
