|a يشهد الاقتصاد العالمي اليوم نقطة تحول مهمة تجاه الاقتصاد المبني على المعلومات، فقد شهد العالم نمو نظام اجتماعي اقتصادي جديد، من سماته انه عالم ناطق، ويعمل من خلال نظام للاتصالات يسمح للجميع باستخدام تقانة المعلومات في تبادل المعارف. ولا تستطيع إي دولة الاستمرار في ذلك النظام الاقتصادي للقرن الحادي والعشرين دون أمرين مهمين: الأول: هو توفير البنية التحتية الإلكترونية المتضمنة الحواسيب الإلكترونية، والاتصال لتبادل البيانات والدخول إلى أوسع مجموعة متنوعة من قواعد المعلومات والمعارف. إما الأمر الثاني فهو: مؤسسات تعليمية وجامعات يواكب خريجوها هذا التحول في النظام الاقتصادي. \nولا يتوقف الأمر عند توفر تقانة المعلومات بقدر ما يتوقف الأمر على كيفية الاستفادة منها واستثمارها في خدمة العملية التربوية والتعليمية والتعامل معها بشكل متكامل في التواصل مع العالم الأخر، فإصلاح التعليم جزء مهم من حركة مجتمعية\nمستمرة نحو البحث عن الأفضل دائما. وقد خطت معظم دول العالم خطواتها الواسعة لتحقيق هدف تطوير التعليم والذي يجب إن يقود إلى أهداف أمثل وهو تقدم المجتمع ورفاهيته، لان تطوير التعليم – وإصلاح نظمه – لا يكون غاية في حد ذاته ولكنه وسيلة لغاية أعلى \nولهذا كان من المناسب بناء مؤسسات عصرية متمكنة تعتمد نظاما يمكنها من كيفية توظيف تقانة المعلومات في حياتها اليومية وانعكاس أثرها على مخرجاتها. والتخلص من الوسائل التقليدية والتي ما زالت الكثير من المؤسسات تعتمدها والتي لم تعد قادرة على تحقيق الأهداف التربوية والتعليمية المنشودة مما جعل الخبرة غير كافية والإفادة منها قليلة مما آثر سلبا في تلبية حاجة المؤسسة والتواصل مع عالم المعرفة والتقدم العلمي مما يتيح لها مواكبة التطور العلمي في العمل التربوي ورفع مستوى الفرد التعليمي.\nهدف البحث التعرف على تقانة المعلومات ودورها في تحسين جودة العملية التربوية والتعليمية وذلك من خلال وضع المبادئ والأسس الصحيحة في كيفية توظيف تقانة المعلومات واستثمارها بشكل علمي وعملي بما يعود بالنفع على المؤسسة التربوية في تطوير الأداء المؤسسي وتحسين جودة المخرج والمنتج.
