المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد مفهوم وأبعاد وخصائص مجتمع المعرفة، كما سعت إلى التعرف على متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة من الجامعة، وأيضاً معرفة الدور الذى تقوم به جامعة الفيوم في تحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة، بالإضافة إلى وضع تصور مقترح لتفعيل دور جامعة الفيوم في تحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة، استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (20) خبيراً من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة الفيوم، صممت الباحثة استبانة لجمع المعلومات تكونت من (118) فقرة موزعة على ستة محاور، واستخدمت الدراسة الحزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية (spss) في تحليل البيانات، وتوصلت إلى النتائج التالية: - جاء محور إجراءات وأليات تفعيل دور الجامعة لتحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة في المرتبة الأولى بمتوسط حسابي (2,35)، يليه محور دور جامعة الفيوم لتحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والمتعلق برؤية الجامعة في المرتبة الثانية بمتوسط حسابي (2,33)، ثم محور دور جامعة الفيوم لتحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والمتعلق بالبيئة التعليمية بمتوسط حسابي (2,2)، بينما جاء محور دور جامعة الفيوم لتحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والمتعلق بالموارد البشرية في المرتبة الرابعة بمتوسط حسابي (2,166)، يليه محور دور جامعة الفيوم لتحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والمتعلق بخدمة المجتمع في المرتبة الخامسة بمتوسط حسابي (2,14)، وجاء في المرتبة الاخيرة محور دور جامعة الفيوم لتحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والمتعلق بالبحث العلمي بمتوسط حسابي (1.632).

The Study Aimed at identifying the concept, dimensions and characteristics of knowledge society.it also aimed at figuring out the requirements of knowledge society from the university. moreover, knowing the role played by fayoum university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society, in addition to put a Suggestional imagination activating the role of university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge. The researcher used the qualitative method, and the sample of the study consisted of (20) experts from the teaching staff at fayoum university. the researcher designed a questionnaire to collect information that consisted of (118) items distributed among six axes and also used SPSS in analyizino data and reached the following results: The axis of procedures of activating the role of university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society in the first rank with a statistical mean of (2.35), then the axis of the role of fayoum university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society related to university vision in the second rank with a ststistical mean (2.33), then the axis of the role of fayoum university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society related to educational environment with a statistical mean (2.2), while the axis of the role of fayoum university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society related to human resources in the fourth rank with a statistical mean (2.166), then followed the axis of the role of fayoum university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society related to society service in the fifth rank with a statistical mean (2.14), in the last rank came the axis of the role of fayoum university in fulfilling the requirements of knowledge society related to scientific research with a statistical mean (1.632).
