المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى دور جامعة شقراء في (توليد المعرفة، وتنمية مجتمع المعرفة، وبناء الفرد معرفيا) من وجهة نظر عينة الدراسة، وكذلك التعرف إلى الفروق ذات الدلالة الإحصائية في تقييم دور جامعة شقراء في بناء مجتمع المعرفة يعزى لمتغيرات: الجنس، والدرجة العلمية، والخبرة. تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، كما تم تطبيق استبانة على عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة شقراء بلغ عددهم (129)، وتم تحليل نتائج الدراسة وخلصت بعدد من النتائج منها ما يلي: أن دور جامعة شقراء في تنمية مجتمع المعرفة حصل على المرتبة الأولى مما يدل على أن لجامعة شقراء دور مهم وفعال في التنمية الشاملة للمجتمع سواء كان اجتماعيا أو اقتصاديا أو ثقافيا، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات عينة الدراسة حول دور جامعة شقراء في بناء مجتمع المعرفة، تعود لاختلاف نوع العينة، وكانت تلك الفروق لصالح عينة الذكور، وكذلك موافقة أعضاء هيئة التدريس على أن المحافظة على الهوية الوطنية وكذلك المحافظة على مرتكزات المجتمع وثوابته له دور مهم في تنمية مجتمع المعرفة، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات منها التأكيد على تعزيز الهوية الوطنية لدى الأفراد من أجل بناء المجتمع المعرفي ذو الكفاءات الوطنية الفاعلة، والاهتمام بالتدريب المهني للأستاذ الجامعي فهم الركيزة الأساسية لبناء المجتمع المعرفي في جامعة شقراء، وضرورة أنشاء مراكز بحوث متخصصة في الكليات التابعة لجامعة شقراء لتخدم أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب للتوصل إلى المجتمع المعرفي.

This study aims to identify the role of Shaqra University in the generation of knowledge, the development of the knowledge society, and the cognitive building of the individual (As per) study sample, Also the study has sought to examine or the differences of statistical significance, if any, in assessing the role of Shaqra University in building of the knowledge society depends on gender, scientific background and the experience. The descriptive method has been was used, and a questionnaire has been applied to collect the input data among faculty members of Shaqra University (129). The results of the study have been analyzed. The analytical descriptive approach has been used to achieve the objectives of the study. The questionnaire has been applied to a sample of (129) members of the teaching staff at Shaqra University. After statistical analysis of data, the result of the study showed that, That the role of Shaqra University in the development of the knowledge society ranked first, as well as Shaqra University have an important and effective role in the overall development of society, whether social, economic, or cultural, and the existence of differences of statistical significance between the responses of the study sample. The differences in favor of the male sample, as well as the approval of the faculty members and others alike, indicates that preserving of the national identity as well as preserving of the foundations of society and its constants play have an important role in the development of the knowledge society. The study also reached a number of recommendations, including emphasizing the strengthening of the national identity of individuals in order to build a knowledge society with national competencies and interest in the professional training of the university professor and others in understanding the basic pillar of building the knowledge society at Shaqra University.
