In the extract “Al-Mar’atu Al-Muqatta’ah” taken from “Wahraan Lughah Mayyitah”, Asya Jabbar tells us about a French teacher who asks her students to read the the story “One Thousand and One Nights”. This reference to a primary text of the Eastern culture sets the strategy of looking at the culture of the other. It grants the experience of heterogeneity by immersion in a cultural, historical, social, fictional and foreign context, cultural communication, anecdotes, intertextuality and the context. Ce recours au texte fondateur de la culture orientale met en place une stratégie de projection d’une culture à l’autre.
